Question:
I am having pain in the upper part of my abdomen.

it hurts wether or not i eat or not, it is not a sharp pain but a very sore all over the area above the navel and below the breast. i have tried tums and milk of mag. nothing seems to help.i havent eaten anything different today than any other day, i am almost 10 weeks post op. any help would be apreciated.    — terri R. HI there, Have you tried Zantac. It may be acid refelx. Not to scare you I had the same problem and ended up having my gallbladder out. Do you have a nurse at your docs office you can call and ask. It may be something you can deal with at home. I would call just to make sure. Good Luck

At 6 weeks post op I began to have pain below my sternum & under my left breast. It turned out to be an ulcer. I would say it is worth checking out with your doc. Best wishes in your process.

I thought no one ever had the same pains as i did! I have been having those exact same pains, along with pain going into my back. I am about 6.5 mos post-op. I went to my Dr. and he scheduled an ultrasound for my gallbladder. I did that yesterday, haven't heard back yet though.
