Question:
Is this stomach flu or surgery related?

I have had pain below my waist line for a few days, I am 9 weeks post op. Monday at work I felt yuckky, ended up on the toilet constipated for a while (never get this) and then an hour later I was back on with severe diarrhea. Felt run down and sick all afternoon, went home early. Off work today, feel nauseous, need to go and nothing comes out. Belly area is very tender to the touch, trying hard to drink more water than usual, which is never what it should be. Anyone had similar problems? I can't wait to get the energy others talk about though, I can't even drag myself around.    — Mandy M. (posted on August 21, 2001)

Well could be a number of things including flu, hernia, blockage, dumping etc. Run the symptoms by your Dr for sure.

Please be sure to go to your doctor. My father-in-law got sick and wasn't going to the bathroom with abdominal swelling and pain. His doctor told him to go home until Monday (it was a holiday weekend). He made a scene and insisted he be seen by another doctor. It was a good thing because his appendix had burst. He wouldn't have made it to Monday.

Mandy, Call your dr immediatly. It may be nothing..but its not worth taking the chance. Call and pls keep us updated :)
