how much biotin?
I bought Biotin today to take and try not to loose my hair as badly, they are 800 MCG, how many a day should I take? — leeann N. (posted on August 30, 2002)

I talked to my nutr. about this she said what ever you dont use, you will
just pee out anyway.

I take 2 600 mcg a day, still have alot of hair loss, so good luck!

I TAKE 5 mg A DAY. THE BRAND IS COUNTRY LIFE. IT IS A VERY SMALL CAPSULE.
IN FACT I HAVE NEW SPROUTS OF HAIR GROWING. THE ONCLOGIST SUGGESTED THE 5
MG FOR HIS CANCER PATIENTS. IT REALLY WORKS GREAT. HOPE THIS HELPS ALL WHO
INQUIRES.

hi i was just at walmart today and got some biatin. the 800 milgram bottle
i picked up saud nothing about hair on it at all but looking further i
found another bottle less miligrams and it had the word hair right on the
front of the bottle. i wish i knew how much to take also maybe one a day ?

I was told by the salesperson at GNC that I should take atleast 2400mg a
day. That is what I have been taking. (2, 600mg. twice a day ) I,
unfortunately, started taking it AFTER I started losing my hair. I do
think, however, that my hair is coming in very nicely and the hair I do
have seems to be a lot healthier now.
