Question:
I've noticed on others profiles they have kept a diary....

I've noticed on others profiles they have kept a diary about pre-op/post-op experiences and dates with doctors etc. I would love to do this but can't seem to find the link to do so. Could someone please advise me on where to go to do this. Thank you very much. Lori — Lori M. (posted on November 4, 2001)

Lori, go to "your profile" and log in, click on "general information" and then go to the "comments" just start typing and you can keep your own diary there. You can look at mine I have kept a diary of sorts.

lori, you can use fitday.com. it is totally free and you can log your diary/jounal as well as your exercise and also your food intake and it tracks calories, fats and all nutrient values you enter--i totally love that sight!!!

I really enjoy keeping mine. Its FUN to post the good news once your a post op, and I think my profile helps others who are going thru the same experience. It reminds me of how far I have come in a short time. I wish everyone would keep bigger ones, they make for interesting reading.

Lori, I went to read your profile, but it has a red background with red type. It's impossible to read. I would suggest chaning either your background or the type color.. Would love to follow your journey! Take care for now...

If you find any of those impossible to read color choices just click on your mouse and drag the cursor down the page, this ill change the colors you see so its legible.

Lori, I sure have enjoyed keeping my journal and I hope it's helpful to other people; I know that I love it when I find a really detailed journal and bookmark those people so I can keep up with them... hi Tam, Jo, Bob, Becky... :-)!! You just do it in your profile.

Hint: once your profile starts getting long, each time you update, BEFORE you type anything new, copy the code of your entire profile (what you see in the Comments box under the sentence "Please describe anything you would like about yourself below. What are your hobbies, interests, concerns, suggestions, etc:") and paste it into Notepad. Save it as something like Profile-date.txt so that when your profile fills up and it starts eating things off the bottom, you'll be able to recover the bottom part of your profile from your Notepad "backup". I wish AMOS would tell you when your profile is full instead of chewing on it with no warning! Oh well. It is a great free service (and one we all should support.. I'm donating $25 for each of my pages).

Have fun on your journey and good luck.
