My first impression of Dr. Bour and his staff was a good one. They are very compassionate and caring and seem to truly want to help people gain more control of their lives. Dr. Spearman is his partner and I found Dr. Spearman to be equally caring. He stresses that he is always there if he is needed. Their office has a great aftercare program which I feel is really important in long term food issues. I haven't experienced his surgical competence or bedside manner yet, but my overall impression so far has been great!

My first impression about Dr. Bour and WLS is very positive. He has a genuine concern for his patients and has recently traveled extensively all over the country to put together a comprehensive program including psychologist, nutritionist and support group to do everything possible to help us succeed. No, I don't know him personally, but I have been a patient of his for about 3 years. (Two surgeries not related to wt. loss.)All the staff is very supportive and will go out of their way to help. There is an extensive aftercare program that includes Dr Spearman, the psychologist and two nutritionist who are there specifically for the wls pts. Dr. Bour addressed the risk of surgery very seriously, but also pointed out the tragic risk of staying morbidly or malignantly obese without treatment. Not only is he superiorly surgically competant, but has a very professional but compasionate bedside manner. Very attentive and genuine!!!! I am so looking forward to this surgery!!! Dr. Eric S. Bour is a Board Certified general surgeon who has been in practice for over 8 years, and in the Greenville community for over 3 years. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of both the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons (ASBS).

Dr. Bour's practice is profiled towards gastrointestinal and breast surgery, with an emphasis on basic and advanced laparoscopy.

First Impression - Great!!!!! He was warm and Kind and very Professional yet Personable. He makes you feel completely at ease. He is so knowledgeable as well, this doctor has done his research and has put his heart and soul into the bariatric clinic.

The office staff thus far has been wonderful. These are people I could be friends with. A great group Katie Myers is the best, even when I cried seeing how much I truly did weigh. And Dr. Spearman is wonderful, my husband was really pleased with the feedback he provided as was I.

Aftercare is more important than the surgery!!! This is the rest of my life and the staff at Bariatric Solutions will be a part of it forever. What a great feeling!!

The risks were discussed at lenght and almost my entire family went to the initial informational consultation and Dr. Bour was great as we bombarded him with questions and "what ifs?" He was truly brillent.
