I felt really at ease with him..office staff was great..ins approved in 2 days..scheduled \"set-up\" appt trying to find out exactly what that entails.. no info from staff say just depends on what Dr. wants..wanting to find out if have to go on any kind of diet prior to surgery still no help overall though, i am very satisfied with Dr Hannon and every confidence in the world with him he explained risks which are higher bcuz of many med problems but also bcuz i have had hiatal hernia surgery, so they would be operating in same area..just waiting for gastric bypass now Had RNY surgery May1, 2009 surgery went very well, spent the first night in ICU and moved to reg.floor on Sat. morning Couldn't get 64 oz fluid down in hosp. Dr. wouldn't let me go home on Sunday but was able to go home Mon. afternoon. The nurse made f/u appt for May 7. Ist f/u appt went great, also met with dietician at this appt. Had lost almost 20lbs by then. Next F/u was May 28,2009 down 30 lbs, Next f/u on August 27,2009 down 51 lbs, doing great Next f/u was scheduled for Nov 12 but had to cancel, rescheduled for Dec. 03,2009. Down 75 lbs, got a B-1 shot and since I will be gone for one and a half months he went ahead and gave me the B-12 injection today, too. Next f/u scheduled for March 4, 2010. Dr. Hannon says I look great and am doing really good. Told him I want to get under 200 lb, told me there would be no problem with that.I am just too impatient at times.

HE IS A GREAT DOCTOR. AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HAVING HM AS MY DOCTOR. HIS STAFF IS VERY rnCUSTOMER FRIENDLY AND KNOWABLE . YOU SHOULD HAVE NO FEARS ABOUT ASKING DR HANNON ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR SURGERY , HE IS THERE TO HELP YOU. AND HE HAS A GREAT AFTER CARE PROGRAM AT HIS OFFICE TO KEEP UP WITH PATIENTS AFTER THERE SURGERY. IN A SCORE OF 1 TO 10 BEING THE BEST HE IS A 10rnAND I THINK A GREAT DOCTOR IS ONE WITH SURGICAL COMPETENCE AND BEDSIDE MANNER. rnHE ALSO HAS AN ASSISTANT NAMED DR RUTLEDGE , WHO ALSO WAS WONDERFUL , SHE CHECKED ON ME EVERY DAY WHILE IN THE HOSPITAL. rnI WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR AND HIS OFFICE FOR THIS AND FUTURE SERVICES.rnTHANK YOU rnTHERESA FERGUSON rn

Dr. Hannon is such a kind man and very attentive to your questions and concerns. His staff has been friendly and always available when I need to contact or talk to them. I had to change my surgery date to fit with schedule at work and they were attentive and accomidating.

My first impression of him was that he cared. My appointment went really good.

Jan 15,07 started my clear liquid diet today until my surgery on Monday Jan22,07 Not really into this clear liquid stuff but I can do it. Iam getting alittle scared and excited at the same time.

Dr. Hannon is awesome. He has been very professional, kind and caring from the first consultation right through to my first post op check up! If I had it to do all over again I would definitely still choose Dr. Hannon. He and his staff have been GREAT! Now I know why he has such a tremendous track record!

I went to see the doctor five years ago about the surgery and he was nice then. I think he and his staff are very professional and caring.

He has the reputation of being the best in the city of Mobile and that is why I chose him. I got his name from another physician who is a personal friend.

His aftercare progrma is only somewhat structured.

THe only thing I did not like at first was seeing the physician's assistant but I got over it. But when I said something they offered immediately to get the doc.


Overall, I would highly recommend him.

I love Dr. Hannon and am so glad I chose him to be my surgeon. He is so great and I have complete confidence in him.

My first impression of Dr. Hannon was a good one in that I was very nervous about the surgery and I was put at ease when I seen Dr. Hannon on a Christian program. I felt good knowing that he was a Christian and probably had the same beliefs in God. I say that because not all Christians share the same beliefs. What was even better was that when I chicken out of my first surgery appointment I wanted to speak with Dr. Hannon over the phone to ask additional questions. And because I had difficulty getting around at that time. And the receptionist tld me that I would have to come in again instead of speaking to him over the phone. However, Dr. Hannon's nurse called me when I left a very upsetting message on his voice mail expressing my disappointment that he couldn't call me. But the nurse assured me that he could call me and he did. And that made me feel so good to know that e took tme out of his busy schedule to call me.

His office staff at first was a little cold to me. But over tme they became friendly. I realize that I was very sensitive at that time so I may have been over-reacting.

Dr. Hannon is a very friendly and compassionate doctor. I felt secure in his hands.

Future patients should know that Dr. Hannon wants to help his patients.

I think I get adequate after care however, for me, it still is not enough. I basically want someone to hold my hand through this journey.

The after care program with Dr. Hannon is through the hospital. And I think it is a structured after program.

Dr. Hannon and his group and other doctors involved in my care were very blunt about the worse case senario.

I would rate the overall experience a 10 on a scale from 1 to 10.

I feel that surgical competence as well as a good bedside manner are very important.
