Very impressed with him.

So far my first impression hasn't changed.

Very helpful and informative.

I can't say that there was anything about him that i dislike.
From what all i've heard about him he has a great reputation and i'm glad i chose him.
He expresses that aftercare is the most important part.
Yes

He explains in detail all the risks.

very good doctor.

Both great.

Dr. Hannon is great. He has a very good bedside manner and I know of no problems with his surgeries. I met him in 1999 when my brother was having surgery, and he has not been any different with me. One of my co-workers has had a horrible experience starting with her first office visit, but for myself I have had no problems with anything. I give Dr. Hannon and his staff a 10!!

I was very impressed with Dr. Hannon and his staff. They were all wonderful. I really think I made the right choice as far as having him as my surgeon. He spent time answering any questions my husband and I had and was really terrific about it all.

After my appointment I met with Mary the lady that takes care of all the insurance things. She was wonderful. She was expecting to get the letter faxed to the insurance company in the next few days and then I will follow up with calls to the insurance company.

I am looking at an early to mid November surgery date. Will November ever get here?

Dr. Hannon is great! He answered all my questions. On the second visit with him, my husband joined me and he was not hesitant to talk with him about the surgery.
The office staff is great also. Dr Hannon told me that to have this surgery there are 2 things that I would have to do after surgery.....drink water and walk. He also said that my food intake would be trial and error. I feel that Dr Hannon is the best doctor in the southeast. Dr. Hannon is surgically competent and has a great bedside manner. I can't say enough good things about him.

Dr. Hannon is great. This is not the first time that I have seen Dr. Hannon. In 1997 I had the wonderful pleasure of a gallbladder operation for Valentines Day. Dr. Hannon was great then. When I spoke to my Family Dr. regarding the surgery he highly recommended that I seek out Dr. Hannon once again. Dr. Hannon was very thorough in explaining the surgery, complications that could arise and the benefits as well. My husband attended the office visits with me and Dr. Hannon took time to answer all of our questions and concerns no matter how trival they may have been. His office staff has been very helpful throughout the whole process of obtaining the authorization from Blue Cross Blue Shield of AL. Mary ( works in insurance at Dr. Hannon's office) was great to work with. She told us exactly what we needed to send in and worked with us on getting everything from other doctors that I have seen. I do believe however that my best impression of Dr. Hannon is that he is a Christian and does not hide the fact. It was comforting to look at his lab coat lapel and see the Cross pinned there. I have no doubt that God was in control of all the visits, insurance application and approval.

Dr. Hannon is a very nice, caring person. He made me feel very comfortable. He explained that the surgery is not for everyone. He explained the types of things that I would not be able to eat forever after. I especially appreciated his insight and candor - he said, "If you're a person who can't live without eating sugary foods, this surgery is not for you and you shouldn't do it."
The office staff was also very nice and accomodating. I had a little trouble with getting conflicting information from different people - primarily around the timing of when he could do the surgery and what has to happen between the initial consultation and the actual surgery.
I would have liked to get more information about the process. I didn't realize that I had to have an entire day's worth of tests done 5-7 days before the surgery. I am in the process of changing jobs and moving so this put a little kink in the schedule. The nursing staff was accomodating, though, and worked me into the doctor's schedule. I am very appreciative of that.
I haven't really been given that much information about the particulars after surgery. I've done plenty of research on my own and feel like I know a lot so I haven't really asked too many questions of the doctor. Seems like they could develop a brochure or something like I had gottn in the mail from some other surgery programs.
I would recommend Dr. Hannon to others.

Dr. Hannon's office is connected to Mobile Infirmary. The office is very upscale and the staff is very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Dr. Hannon is very easy to talk to and answers questions well. The benefits and risks of surgery were addressed both visits. Also, the pros and cons of open and lap. surgery were discussed in detail. I am unable to evaluate surgical competency for myself, but my friends I have talked to have praised him highly. Overall, I would rate him a 10 in all areas.

Aftercare was discussed but not really stressed. I'm hoping that will be addressed fully while hospitalized.

very professional & intersted in me.His staff was very helpful any time I had questions while awaiting insurance approval. He is very "upfront" w/what will happen, what to expect before & after. He does not give any illusions & makes it clear that this surgery is not performed for only "physical appearance" reasons. He stresses that this is a lifetime change & not just an "easy fix". Also, He stresses physical fitness & excerising. He addressed all the risks involved. Before I chose a DR., I talked w/several people who had the surgery including his patients. I was satisfied w/the results. I had every confidence in him. The most important characteristic to me, was that he is a christian.

I liked him right off, very good bedside manner, rated very highly from the hospital.
I still have the same impression, but I like him even more, very sweet.
They have been very helpful in everything I needed.
Not enough info given in advance, which I did let him know, I knew alot from research.
He's great, he didn't use staples like the others do.
I'm only about 5 weeks post op, so far, so good.
They have a group meeting every month, haven't made it to one yet, plan on going.
Explained risks of surgery, very well.
A++
Both super.

I first met with doctor Hannon on November 29, 2000. My visit went well and he said that I just met the requirements. He went into through discussion about the procedure. The seriousness of the surgery and the risks involved. He let my husband ask as many questions as he wanted and was very compassionate.

I have only been in the office for one visit the nurse and the insurance filer were very pleasant. I will follow up after approval and surgery.

I have nothing negative to say so far everything has gone smooth.
