Dr Hannon seemed nice and answered all my questions. Told me all about the surgery and had me watch a video. Made sure I knew this wasnt a quick fix and is not easy.
Aftercare was really emphasized and this was just a consult! WALK WATER WALK WATER! They have a support group there and you have to join it BEFORE surgery. The ladies at the office seemed friendly. Especially the lady who deals with the insurance, Mrs Ransier. (SP?)
We did have a problem with them not having my referral. And it taking forever to get it from my PCP after they called them. Even though that was my PCP's fault for not sending it and not theirs I felt like they should have been staying on my PCP and not have me keep calling and sitting there for nearly 2 hours after my appointment though!
Overall it was a good appointment and consultaion, although, I havent made up my mind yet about surgery.

Had my initial consult with Dr. Hannon and he really understood my situation and answered any and all questions my wife and I had. It did take a while to get an appointment though. When I made my first appointment on December 12, 2003, the first available date they could give me was March 5, 2004. I called weekly to see if there were any cancellations, and finally got an appointment for February 4. The wait did not really bother me as I think Dr. Hannon is worth the wait!

I have been so pleased with all of the doctors in Dr. Hannon's office. They are all different in their ways, but all are very knowledgable. I would definetly recommend them to anyone looking into Gastric By-Pass Surgery. It has been 1 year since my surgery and I have lost 121 pounds and many inches.
The only thing that I disliked about him was the wait to get to see him as well as getting a surgery date. Be very prepared on your first visit and things will go a little faster.

Dr. Hannon is great! He was very patient when I was asking my questions and he didn't act as if I were stupid! He answered my questions so that I could understand what he was saying. He is requiring all his patients to take a test on bariatric surgery as well as requiring them to attend a new program called BEGIN. He explained the risks of surgery and was thorough in his explanations. His office staff is wonderful! A couple of the ladies there have had the surgery themselves so they understand our anxieties! I have not experienced any other aspects of Dr. Hannon's competence, but as soon as I do, I will update. I had heard a lot about him from others who have had the surgery.

Dr. Hannon seems like a wonderful man, although incredibly busy. He is confdent in his abilities, and that puts me at ease.

Dr. Hannon is a young professional doctor who knows his field. He is easy to talk to and glad to answer your questions. He makes sure that you understand the changes that will happen in your life after surgery. He even gives you a test to see how knowledgeable you are about WLS (I passed with flying colors). He has a program called "BEGIN" which he insists that you participate in. During this program you are given diet information by a nutritionist and are evaluated by nurses for skin problems and physical therapy personnel to see if you are going to be able to walk (WALK-WALK-WALK) after surgery. Because of my complications I gave him a lot of trouble. Even then he was always happy and informative. He also gave me a moral booster when I saw him the first time after leaving the hospital. He said I was looking great and healthy. He is my savior and I hope I live up to his expectations in the future. He makes you want to do what's right because you don't want to disappoint him. I think that may be a good thing.

Dr. Hannon is a VERY kind, caring and encouraging person who will give you all the time you need while you are with him. From the first time I went to him, two years ago when I was denied coverage by my husband's insurance till now (six mos post op) he is still the same caring man I first saw. Dr. Hannon's competence as well as his bedside manner are GREAT!! His nurse is also very nice.

Dr. Hannon told me ALL the negatives involved with the surgery so that I knew that this is a lifelong commitment once you have it. It is not just something you do to make you loose weight; it is a TOOL to help you loose weight. He also says (at EVERY visit)"Water, water, water; walk, walk, walk. Nobody has had to return to the hospital for not eating but have had to return for not drinking".

The only thing remotely negative that I have to say is that when you call and when you go in, the people in the front office are not as personable as I think they should be.

He also came highly reccommended to me by a friend in the medical community.
