Osvaldo Anez Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS, FICS

When I first met Dr. Anez a couple of years ago I remembered he was very soft spoken and smiley. He was all business and he talked to me about the procedure and walked me step by step through the diagram of the surgery he was going to perform. He used colored pencils to show the differences in the organs and wrote down all the steps. He seemed a bit \"robotic\" in his presentation and made me think to myself, wow he has been doing this for a really long time. He was very scripted and didn't really venture off his path. While I appreciated his professionalism, he definitely lacked in the \"get to know you\" aspect. On the other hand, he isn't a therapist and I didn't expect him to \"help\" me with my emotional journey. He is a surgeon and a very well qualified one at that. His credentials and experience speak for themselves. I actually like his soft demeanor. Nonetheless, his part was done after surgery anyway. Post-op I started to see his P.A. Tiffany. She is fantastic! I can see why Dr. Anez hired her--she is the one with the more outgoing personality. It's a good balance. Everyone from the beginning was great! Ashley the insurance coordinator was on top of everything and was really organized. I would recommend Dr. Anez and his staff to anyone looking for a competent surgeon.

I liked my surgeon right off. He was very professional and thorough. I have become quite close with his staff and especially his assistant. What I like best about him is that he has saved my life, yet, didn't really make a big deal out of it. Treating me human and with respect -- not treating me like a character from a horror film. Aftercare has been great and I do attend a weightloss group headed by my nutritionist, who is wonderful. I would rate Dr. Anez and his staff above a 10. Both bedside manner and surgical competence have proven to be A+.rnI have not met with him personally since surgery and await my next appointment to discuss tummy work. NOW I AWAIT THE REMOVAL OF THE UGLY SKIN AND WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK WITH MORE! But, overall, I am very pleased and happy I chose the surgery - a Mini-RNY.

I really like Dr. Anez. He is a very sweet and caring man. My surgery was flawless and when it's said and done, my scar is going to be tiny! He did a great job and is readily available to answer your questions throughout the process. I highly recommend him!

My first impression of Dr. Anez was that he was very competent and experienced. He appeared very professional as he explained the procedure. While I felt very assured that he would be a very competent surgeon, he did advise me of the possible risks and complications. He has performed the gastric bypass surgery many times with excellent results.rnrnI was always nervous about getting on the scale in a doctor's office, but Dr. Anez's staff made me feel relaxed and not like I was some kind of fat pig.rnrnThere is nothing I did not like about Dr. Anez. He always has a big smile for his patients whenever he sees you and puts you right at ease.rnrnThe follow-up care consists of visits with his Physician's Assistant and the Nutritionist, with blood tests every 3 months to make sure vitamins and supplements are normal.rnrnI would rate Dr. Anez as extremely professional and competent, and would not hesitate to recommend him and his staff to anyone looking to have this type of surgery.

I haven't met with Dr. Anez yet this time around. However, I did meet with him the last time I was scheduled for surgery. Experience and numbers are on his side. He is very straight forward - and matter of fact. He explains the surgery to you very thoroughly and answers any questions that you have. His popularity and experience makes him one of the best bariatric surgeons in this area.

When I first met Dr. Anez, I was so afraid of the surgery and what would be done - he took time to explain the procedure fully and to also explain what life would be like for me after the RNY. rnrnAfter some staffing changes, I have to say that the team at the Obesity Surgery Center is absolutely great! Tiffany and Sally provide my aftercare and both have been very helpful with my journey so far.

It was a pleasure meeting Dr. Anez! From what I understand, he is one of the very best Bariatric surgeons in the country.That is why I chose him! In spite of being in great demand, he took the time to fully explain my surgery and advise me of the benefits as well as any discomforts or risks that may be involved. He made sure I understood that I would need to be starting a new way of life, beginning with a new and appropriate way of eating. Regular exercise and good eating habits would be imperative to maintain my new stomach and to experience the great results I hope to see and most importantly feel!!! Dr. Anez said,\" if I do this surgery you will be my patient for life!!\"rnDr. Anez had a genuinely friendly smile and after my consultation I knew I was in the best possible hands.rnrnSally Meyers, his Nutritionist is really top notch! She is very easy to talk to and has already given me some great suggestions that I am already puting to use well before my surgery. She also conducts a support group called the Staple club that is really really helpful!! My primary care physician was especially excited about all of the support resources available through Dr. Anez's office.rnrnThe office staff is excellent too. I was especially impressed with how helpful Carlena was with guiding me through the insurance requirements!rnrnFor the first time in my life, I felt comfortable rnsharing my personal weight related issues. rn

Dr. Anez tends to make things short, sweet & to the point. Not the greatest if you want to really sit and have a lengthy chat but he has always been very friendly and answered all my questions. Have had good days & bad days in my dealings with teh staff but there have been some changes over the years and I figure everyone has tough days. His program is great, everyone works together, great from the very beginning.

Dr.Anez is such a kind hearted person. His smile and kind face gives you comfort and a sence of calmness when you meet him.rnHe seems to be the best at what he does. I find comfort in him proforming one type of surgery. He knows it and he knows it well.rnI have all the confidence In Dr. Anez and his staff.rnTiffany his Physican Assistiant is wonderful she is easy to talk with and is very informative.rnrnHe has had a large trun over in his office staff.rnBut the team they now have is wonderful,rnVery helpful and nice to deal with.
