I finally got to meet Dr. Chin this week. He seems very nice, one of my clients has worked with him in surgery before and she spoke very highly of him. That works for me , I guess the rest is in Gods hands. My date of Dec 1 is rapidly approching, guess I will know more then!

My first impression of Dr Chin was that he looks too young to be a doctor much less have the required skills to perform this surgery. I only met him once the day before the surgery but after I got over the initial shock of how young he looked and I spoke with him a while I felt confident about his skills enough to continue. Saying that now sounds strange(I am 7mos post-op) but I was very nervous before the surgery and Dr Chin's professional demeanor and his willingness to answer my silly questions was/is very comforting. The staff in his office was also very helpful and professional. There was a structured aftercare program in place but I was an out of town patient and my after care is handled by another office in another town.

I only remember seeing Dr Chin once after surgery. His office has a team approach to some aspects of aftercare and I saw the PA and well as other doctors from the same office while I was in the hospital. For anyone in the Fountain Valley area, I would recommend the team at Lite Dimensions to everyone who is concidering weight loss surgery for complete and total care.

I have recently met with Dr. Chin. He was so easy to talk to and I felt very at ease. I'm looking forward to my surgery and feel so comfortable with Dr. Chin and his team.

The office staff so far has been friendly and helpful. Because the practice is doing so well and growing so much, it can be a little frustrating to reach who you want when you want. Voice mail is effective, and when I speak with anyone from the office, they are very helpful and friendly.

The practice seems to have very structured before and aftercare programs which I find to be helpful and a stepping stone to success.

I'm greatly looking forward to working with Lite Dimensions staff. I have had such a pleasant experience so far, and know going forward should be just as pleasant. I'm excited to meet my surgeon and find out my next steps from other staff members.

Dr. Chin gave a wonderful first impression, and standing one at that. He was very direct and straight to the point. He was caring and understanding. Dr. Chin is very professional and very educated. The entire office staff is outstanding everybody there is so caring. I highly recommend Fountain Valley Lite Dimensions to any and all. Everybody in book gets a 10+.

I have not met Dr. Chin or his staff. I have heard nothing but good things about that office.

He is a very "down to business" surgeon but I liked that about him. The entire staff that he is associated with is absolutley AWESOME! I felt like they were extremely thorough and I was very comfortable askind Dr. Chin questions.

My impression if him stayed the same. He did not disappoint.

His staff, from the receptionst to the PA is awesome. Every person I came into contact with, both in his office and in the hospital where I had the surgery performed, was so exscited for me and very supportive.

If there was anything that I "liked least" about Dr. Chin is that he is extremely busy so it was hard to see him directly and his PA's would fill in for him. However, his PA's, especially Ashley, were great and I was very confident in their care.

Aftercare is ephasized more through the medical group he works with called "Smart Dimensions". Eveyone at Smart Dimensions is and was very thorough and continues to push that a successful surgery has a lot to do with how to maitain your aftercare. They are very detailed in their instructions and I feel very well informed by their efforts.

They do have a structured aftercare program.
He explained the risks to me. In fact it was explained to me numerous times.

Since I cant really say that I saw much of his bedside manner I would have to say his surgical confidence is better. His staff makes up for his weakness and the people at the hospital were for the most part very warm and friendly.

The only complaint I really have about this whole thing is during my stay at the hospital I noticed that most of my nurses barely spoke english and that sometimes I would have a nurse from another department and they clearly did not know how to deal with bariatric patients. One nurse asked me why I had the leg stockings on and who put them on me? She clearly was not a normal nurse for this area. And one of my nurses had such a strong accent I honestly cannot tell you one word she said. Because if she spoke to me it was unintelligable. But again, these are just my impressions and afterall I was on morphine so maybe I was not thinking clearly.

He isn't warm and fuzzy, but he is very nice. Of course, it's not his job to be warm and fuzzy, and it doesn't bother me. As long as he does the surgery well, and he's nice to me, I'm happy. He seems competent. I really didn't have any questions for him because I've done my research, but I've heard him talk about the surgery before in a group talk, and he knows what he's doing. I would recommend him, and his entire surgeon's group.
