2/06/02 I have an orientation with Dr. Simpson on February 12th!

2/16/02 I met with Dr. Simpson in a group orientation on 2/12. I was impressed with him as well as his office staff.

My first impression of Dr. Simpson was that here is a doctor that actually cares about their patience. He answered all my questions and was very knowledgable and very easy to talk to.

My impression just got better over time. His office staff is just as great as he is. Always supportive.

There was nothing to dislike about him.

He will want you to review the information and encourages the patient to come back with questions. He also encourages the patient to do as much research as he/she can do.

The aftercare was good, he made sure my incesion was doing ok. I had a little problem following the staple/stickes removal and he was right on the problem making me feel less stressful about it.

He was realy clear to let me know all about the risks. He also included that in his intro packet.

On a scale of one (worse) to ten (best) he would rate an 11. He is one of the best doctors I've ever met.

I would have to say both, and Dr. Simpson had both of them.

I have to say that Dr. Simpson now has a support group going which is something he didn't have when I first got the surgery but I'm glad to have that extra support now.

I met and immediately liked Dr. Simpson. I found him to be willing to answer all my questions, and before I even met him we e-mailed each other several times. The office staff is good. I guess what has really amazed me about Terry is the personal interest he takes. When I was initially denied by my insurance for this surgery he called the insurance HIMSELF and got me an approval within 4 days of my denial! WOW!! Then he scheduled my surgery for 18 days later. That is fast. As I am out of state this has all had to be coordinated over the phone, really the only hard part.

My first impression of Dr. Simpson was he seemed like a really nice gentlemen. Being a nervous person around most doctors I felt at ease as soon as I walked into his office. The office staff seemed really nice. I can't say there is anything I dislike about him, at this point, since we have only had one visit. I was very impressed that he offered both the good and bad of past surgeries that he has done. I give credit when a doctor can feel bad about something and offer true remorse...Okay, thats just my inner bitterness coming out from past doctors!! lol. He told me he welcomes e-mails any time, when I have any questions about doing the surgery. Overall I would give this doctor ****. Lets see if it stays that way??

2 months later and I am still very happy with my surgeon. I have been back once more to finalize my decision. Three weeks after my appointment the office staff sent in my request (they did everything). January 12th got my approval, I will talk to the office monday and see whats next.

1/8/01 - Today was a great day! I got to meet Dr. Simpson and his staff and all I can say is...Dr. Simpson is THE BOMB! He's truly wonderful. He was very through and spent a great deal of time with me. I've never been to a doctor that wasn't moving patients through like a herd of cattle and although I'm feeling like a cow right now, not once, did Dr. Simpson make me feel rushed or uncomfortable. His office staff was more than accomidating and I feel like this is going to be an awesome patient - doctor relationship.

I was originally suppose to see Dr. Juarez, and knowing what to expect from a bariatric surgeons office,(i.e. paperwork and other requirements for insurance approval), I had already gotten alot my "work" done. I came prepared with medical records and other necessary information that I knew was going to be required. Hopefully this will expidite the process. I would recommend him to anyone who is considering this proceedure!
