I think there should be more Doctor's like Dr. Simpson. He has got to be the best one around! He is funny, he is caring and most of all he is good, not to mention hansome. Meaning, he ask's questions and he takes his time with you and not in no big hurry all the time to get to the next one. I have had Doctors whom hardley give you the time of day and you feel like you are being pushed out of the room before you can finish any questions you may of had.Dr. Simpson is on top of my list. He is a class act in my book....Hats off to ya Dr. Simpson I think your the best.

The best! Office staff is great. They took care of everything. After surgery I had several questions and my phone calls or e-mails were answered immediately.

My first impression of Dr. Simpson was he seemed to be a nice very concerned Dr. A little different from the other Dr.s I had spoken to. As I got to know him before the surgery date I was very calm and was sure he had my best interest at heart. He is very involved with his patients. I feel that is why he is such a good surgon. He along with his staff have always made me feel comfortable and answered all of the questions that I might have. I am so very glad that I picked him for my surgon. He took alot of time with me after the surgery to explain things and answer any questions that I might have. Again he made me feel very comfortable.I look forward going to all the support group meeting seeing him and his staff. They are always there. My surgery was Aug 12 2002 and I am the happiest person on the earth. I have started my new life thanks to Dr. Simpson.

Dr. Simpson is very down to earth and easy to talk to. He is direct and to the point that if you want this surgury you have to abide by th rules set forth and I like that. So far my impression has not changed of him. His staff is very willing to be helpfull. They like to have fun as well as being direct and to the point. They make a good team.

I thought the first time I met him that he reminded me of my father. He is a good story teller and there is always a punch line waiting. I love the stories that he has shared so far with me about himself and some of the paitients he has had. He tells it like it is and he is gentle at the same time. You need to have thick skin because some people might take what he says the wrong way. He wants to be your Dr and not just a Surgeon. This impression had remained the same so far.
The office staff is wonderful also. I think they all must be bariatric patients from another life. They are sensitive and eager to see all of us succeed.
The after care is so important to him because he has seen the results if you do not follow the program he has you on. If you do not want to be successful then he is not the Dr for you.

AT THIS POINT I'M WAITING FOR THE SEMINAR TO BE SCHEDULED SOMETIME IN JANUARY!

My first impression of Dr. Simpson is that he is a "get to the point and not surgar coat it" kind of guy. I like that.

So far my impression of Dr. Simpson has not changed.

Dr. Simpsons office staff is very friendly and carring.

As of yet, I have not found anything that I do not like about Dr. Simpson.

I feel very comfortable with Dr. Simpson and his staff.
I am trying to get the surgery approved in a very short amount of time, before my insurance ends. I feel that they will help me as much as they can to submit my request quickly.
Dr. Simpson is very down to earth and I did not feel as though I was as hideous as my PCP makes me feel.

Well I had the first meeting with Dr. Simpson last May and was very impressed with him and his staff. I have been fighting with the insurances so much that I was just about to give up and just lay down and die. But after meeting Dr. Simpson I had new hope. Well I had the second meeting with Dr. Simpson and he told me want was in store for me. I was afraid but I was determine to do this and live. All summer I worked on what I had to do and did everything I had to. One problem. Up here it is had to find a scale that will give me a good weight so I had to wait till I got back down to Phoenix to find out if I made it or not. During this time I had a mental breakdown and was placed on Prinivil(anti-depression). Well I found out thall the weight I had lost I gained it all back and then some. I just about lose it in Dr. Simpson's office when I saw hope much weight I gained. WHen Dr.Simpson walked into the room and he saw how I was and why, he smiled that smile he has. And all of you who have meet Dr. Simpson knows that smile. Well he said that he was going to take care of everything. We walked to the nurse's station and he told them to get my surgury set up for Nov. 1st. Man, you could have knocked me over with a feather. I now had new hope at life. I told my wife that I could float back to the mountains.
My impression of Dr. Simpson's staff. Well what can I say. They are the greatest. My family doctor's staff up here in Pinetop needs lots of help. They are good at lots of things but sometimes they kinda let the ball down. They have gotten better at getting referals. I love them as well. They do care about the people Dr. Neel cares for.
Hmmmm...the lease thing I like about Dr.Simpson. Man that is a hard question. Let me see. Oh yea...not enought outdoors magizines in the waiting room...what can I say...I love to hunt, fish and camp.
Aftercare program he has, well he has been totally straight forward with me on everyhting I will be in store for. I know what I will have to do. What I will be able to do and what to do if I screw up. And I am ready for it.
All I can tell the future patients is that you will like Dr. Simpson and waht he has to say. If you can't take someone telling you the truth then don't go see him cause he will tell you things that will make you upset and mad. But he will tell only the truth to you and that is what I really liked about Doc Simpson. I do not like liers and fakers. I will not somebody a lie and if they dont like what I say then that is their problem not mind and Doc Simpson is the same way i feel.
Does he address the risk of surgery? Yes he does in great detail. He wants you to know everything that is in store for you and what can or could happen.
How do I rate Dr. Simpson? I have nominated as a deity in my relgious beliefs. That would the same as being nominated for sainthood.
Well have to tell you later about his bedside manners.

I have met Dr. Simpson once. I was referred to him for another surgery and had been thinking about gastric bypass. I asked if he did it and he told me yes, figured out my BMI and told me I qualified. I am supposed to call him after this surgery to start the process for bypass. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and gave me this web site and his to further investigate. I have to really thank him for that. I have found out a LOT more than I dreamed was available! He does require a psyciatric test, but I would worry if he didn't. He also requires one to quit smoking, but to me that will be just another part of becoming healthier. After I see him about the bypass, I will post more.

I have seen Dr. Simpson again, and am now scheduled for DS surgery on Sept. 16. Dr. Simpson is just awesome. He maintains a website with a message board he posts to often. He also responds to individual emails from his patients. His office staff is PHONOMINAL!!! Friendly, helpful and very caring people. I was approved right away, I am sure because of his great staff. They REALLY care!! Dr. Simpson's patients have a monthly support group meeting, which I think is GREAT. I will post more after the surgery, but right now, there is NOTHING I do not LOVE about Dr. Simpson and his great staff!!!
