WOW how to not celebrat your one year anniversary.
For about 2 weeks I thought I had been fighting a flu or something and had decised to call the dr in the morning and see what was going on. Well woke up early the next morning and really felt crapy felt like I was going to explode I was so full of fluid and my insides just hurt. Well it was way to early to call the dr so thought I'd just lie down and rest till about 8 and try then, well my big tom cat that is the sweetest thing the world was having no parts of this, he was all over me crying and just acting like a crazy thing, after about 15 minute of this I gave in and called my daughter, she knew something was real wrong the minute she saw me, she said. Well a trip to the hospital it was. After being at the hospital for only 1/2 an hour I was totally incoharent. It turns out that over a foot of my bowel had collapsed. I was in surgery within 2 hours of getting to the hospital. In surgery for 6 hours, but things could have been much worse. If my big old lovable tomcat
hadn't kept me awake know one would have found me until about 5 that afternoon. Needless to say the cat is now eating well.
Well to make a long story short after 6 days in the hospital I am now on the meand at home. I do want to say that if you just don't feel right and it goes on for more than a day or tow have it looked into.
God Bless to you all glad to be back

Beckey thank you so much for the information. The eliptical and my knees for some reason do not like each other but I have no trouble walking and short periods of jogging so I may just increase the jogging until I can get into the full running mode. Again congratulations and thankyou Peg

Margaret, My husband just reminded me to add something to what I told you. I also had been doing the Eliptical for 30-45 min. 3-5 days a week as well. I now do the Eliptical for 45min-1 hour. I had been walking for 30 min. before I started running. When I started running the 4 min. I would continue to walk an additional 30 min. as well. I was lifting weights, arms & legs, as well. Just thought I would let you know this info as well. As he reminded me this also helped me train.
Hope this all helps!!

Victoria, Thanks!!!!! I actually started last summer. I worked at a slow pace. I never liked running before but now I actually like it. I usually run in our little town and I definately take my IPOD to listen to. I put in really upbeat music to help me keep a pace. I do have to take it easy running now though because of the hernia I have. The doctor told me to be careful until I have it fixed. I am waiting on insurance to approve it now. Keeping my fingers crossed!! So I can't run as much as I usually do until it is repaired. UGH!!!! There are so many 5K's around here, just about every weekend, and I would love to do them so that I can work up to a 10K. That is my next goal, a 10K.
Okay lady take care!!!
How is the mommy to be????
