Whats normal with liquid intake?

I had my lap band surgery on 5 days ago. I have been drinking my fluids and feeling full. I can, however, drink up to 10 oz of fluid in a short amount of time if I drink it slowly. Is this normal? Does fluid go through the band quicker?

Nicole, I have seen posts from some of the veterans on here that say the liquids definitely go thru quicker and you will be able to hold more. When you switch to solids, that will change and you will only be able to hold 3-4 oz................. Hope that helps!! Karen
