Topic: RE: I Need Help!
It has been said already but most of us activly posting are RNY but from a personal be your own advocate soapbox I would go back to the surgeon and make an appt. maybe you are too tight. Or i do know from being a lapband patient until a week before surgery that there are times like early am that you are tighter than others and it was told to us in classes I attended to drink warm liquids first. but I agree with Sue you need to find support in your area.......lapbanders that have gone through what youare going through. You can post on your State board and ask them if there is anyone in your area.....maybe that would help. But please seek help. No matter what type of surgery there seem to be ups and downs but I will tell you my support here on this board and in my local support group......I would not make it without it.

Topic: Calling Dr. Bombay...T.Rob, where are you?
Okay, so it has nothing to do with the old re-runs of Bewiched...
T.Rob, we need to hear from you. What have you been doing besides traveling the world and becoming famous in the "technology world"?
We can say we knew you when...but unfortunately we can't say we know you now.
All kidding aside, let's hear from you now and then.

Topic: RE: Happy Birthday Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Julia,
Happy birthday. I hope that you had a great one...a bit late.
It looks like your last pics are from July. We would love to see some of the more recent ones of you when you get a chance.
Have a great week.

I found that it is harder to check in when you have maintained for the week. I'm certainly glad you did. It just means that you are that much closer to having that next exceptional week. There are weeks that I've just been happy to maintain. Just evaluate what you need to do to have one of those memorable weeks and you can go after it.
You have done so well April; just keep up the good work.
BTW...your total is 85 gone...wow, that is just great.

Well, where are all of you? I know I don't usually post until Mondays, but I was doing so well this week that I thought I'd weigh a day early.
Starting Weight: 347
Surgery Week: 300
Last Week: 211
This Week: 206
Weight Lost: 5 pounds
Total Lost: 141
Weight from Goal: 16
I had a very good week. I really got excited about the new tortilla wraps I began using from WalMart - high protein and only 100 cals - about 12 inches in diameter. With the chewiness of the tortilla, I can use about half the food I was eating in November and December and actually feel more full since this stays in my pouch. I'm also pretty focused on on not having more than 500 of my 1100 to 1200 goal for the day by the time I'm finished with lunch. I'm still pretty religious about recording all on Fitday.com too. This gives me more to work with during the rest of the day. I'm not walking at all for the past two weeks. The weather seems to be breaking here, so I will be getting back out in the mornings. So, if you've had a good week, tell us what you have done that has made the difference. If you didn't have the greatest week, then tell us what you plan to do to get going again. This week I'm going to try pinwheels with my new tortillas. I'm putting crab meat and no-fat cream cheese as the filler...with a bunch of other stuff. Oh, and I've also added more vegetables to my diet. I think that we begin to focus so much on the protein that it becomes easy to forget that veggies can be a great filler.
I'm also lighter than my dw. As you may recall, this was a major mental block. I don't say anything about it and she finally came out with the fact that I was lighter than her. I had so wished that she was going to share more in this process and actually be a part of it. She has actually talked about having the surgery herself. Maybe when I get to goal and actually stay there, she will consider it. Well, I feel better now about passing her since it was such a big mental block for me.
Oh, BTW, I was meeting my wife for dinner last night and was late coming out of WalMart. I ran all the way to the car as I was pushing that cart...I felt like a kid...okay, maybe just a 20 year old...that is all I can hope for...LOL.
Have a great week my friends,
John
Topic: RE: WHINE OR WINE WITH THAT CHEESE!
I hope that everyone is doing better than me with the weightloss. I hate posting because I'd have to have alot of cheese with all the whine that I have. I haven't lost in awhile I know the problem no gym and I started a new job and all they do is graze all day. I said I wasnt going to ever start anything that got me here in the first place..and lok where I am now. I am 196 today been there forever. But Monday I am going to stop the grazing and check into the gym in the same town that I work in so maybe I can go more often before and after work because when I get home I am too tired to drive anywhere else....So theres the whine

Hi Stephanie,
I'm sorry you are having so much trouble, have you tried going on the lap band board? Most of us on this board have had the RNY gastric bypass. I know how frustrating these stalls can be as I have been in one also. Does your support group have other lap banders and if so can you get together with them? I hope you get your answers. Hugs, Sue
