I want to thank all of you for the kind words. I read T.Rob's post and agree that the May board is my internet-based family and I look in on you more often than you know. I always feel rushed when I'm here, so this time I'm going to make a couple of comments. You are all a wonderful bunch of people that I'm proud to know all of you and can appreciate first hand how hard you are all working and the wonderful rewards that you are gaining. T.Rob - Every single apple I have at our house eventually has a worm in it. Actually the Wurm has an apple in it. With the last name Wurm, you learn to throw the first punch when it comes to joking about your name. What a very blessed group of people we are to have had this opportunity in our lives. Then to top it all off, we have a great group of people that we are able to share it with..the good people here at the May 2007 board. May you all continue running toward that goal. John

First off, congrats on hitting your doctor's goal!!!! Now it's time to work on *your* goal. Now, about the running. First off....Good For You! I've tried to run but years of my poor bad knees holding that extra 90 lbs just didn't work. Walking fast? That's for me. LOL I can do 4.5 miles in less than an hour. Just remember to breathe in and out. I know it sounds stupid, but when we're really working, we kinda forget to breathe. You'll do just fine! Try to run 1/4 of a mile. Shoot for that. If you still feel fine, shoot for the 1/2 mile. Before you know it you'll have a mile down. You'll do just fine! * Cyndi *

Hi T.Rob, I have other boards that I go to like the RNY board and the over 50 board and the California board but I ALWAYS end up back at the May 07 board for the same reasons you have. You are all family and we went through it all together and helped each other during each phase of the process so I am more comfortable on the May board then anywhere else. Hey I am eating Thanksgiving dinner but just a tiny amount every couple of hours. I still love Turkey and all the trimmings. It's really good to hear from you T.Rob. Thanks for dropping in. Love and hugs, Esther

Hi Rebecca, I haven't ran for so long that I am tempted to try. I am walking pretty fast now so I think I could do it. Let me know how it goes. I may try too and see if I can. Have fun and you will do just fine. You are young so you have that going for you. I am 60 years old so it may be difficult for me to really run but what the hell....I'm gonna try. Hugs, Esther

Hi Kathy, When we go out to a Mexican Restaurant (which we love) I get the Taco Salad with Chicken, minus the tortilla shell and I feel like a normal human being. It tastes so great. I love broccoli with melted cheese over it too, that gives me a veggie and protein. We have ground turkey all the time and I love it. Hugs, Esther

Howdy Everyone! Just curious... What are some of your favorite post WLS meals? Have any regular favorites? Here is one of mine... I make turkey tacos minus the taco shells- almost like taco lettuce wraps. I brown ground turkey with taco seasoning, add corn, and black beans- then use big lettuce leaves as taco shells. I put a few tomatoes or peppers and a little sprinkle of cheese...Delish! Plus what is good for me is that it make several meals or it freezes well so it's less cooking! What are some of you favorites?
