Cindy, I have had dizziness, but it's been accompanied by sweatiness, shakes, jitters or all the above. I self diagnosed and treated as low blood sugar for a few months. Then at my doctor's visit this month, I was told I was more than likely correct. Especially since it is relieved by eating/drinking something sweet. Could be same for you or blood pressure or simple vertigo, but can't be sure without speaking to your doc. Ya may wanna give them a call if this persists. Take care of you, April

Cindy, You are not alone. I have had the same issues off and on and am not sure what it is. I'm guessing it's dehydration as well. I really notice the dizziness and almost passing out feeling when I stand up from a sitting or lying down position...especially if I do it fast. I'm guessing it's blood pressure related as I have been known to have low blood sugar, even at 360 lbs. Now since I'm 200 lbs, my normal bp is 90/50. I'm guessing with a little dehydration and low bp, it's dipping even lower causing the dizziness and faintedness. I'm just piecing together my nursing and EMS skills and coming to that conclusion on my own but if it gets any worse or is troublesome to you I would definately give your family Dr. or surgeon a call. It's not anything to mess with. Right now mine is just annoying but there are times I get nauseated with it so I'm not too far away from calling my Dr. myself. Take care!! Jamie

Have any of you had episodes of sudden dizziness? Yesterday I had 3 episodes of extreme dizziness came on all of a sudden no sweating or any other symptoms- so I pushed some fluids then tried to eat some protein thinking maybe I was dehydrated or just plain hungry-any thoughts? Thanks Cindy

John, I couldn't have said it better - I am in the almost same place (physically and head space wise) that you are. I think I need to do more than just maintain...I seem to have lost some of that awareness/"selfishness" (a good selfish!), that did not seem as necessary when the weight was coming off anyway. I did lose 2 pounds last month (for an official total of 125 lbs.) but I'd also like to get to 140 lbs, since at that weight I'll not longer be considered overweight. My nutritionist says that because I'm exercising more, of course I'll be hungrier, but, again, I think my issue is lack of forward planning - I'm convinced. It's a bit hard right now because of the Passover holiday (certain foods I can't get/eat) but I'm fully committed to getting back to "standards" once it's over next week. Since I don't seem to be "alone" here on our month/year board, THIS is where I'm coming for support..... The *other* Cyndi

Good for you!! I fully understand. I've had a couple similar experiences, where I thought, "Man, they couldn't have meant me, right?" It's been an amazing year!! Take care of you, April

Funny enough, one of my scrapbook groups had me trying to hunt down The Naked Cowboy too! I mean, I love New York but, gees, how much can you really fit into a day there. LOL And, I'm a good little Methodist so "Wicked" would be my absolute first choice. Although seeing the "Popemobile" is kind of like seeing the "Batmobile". You don't see it every day. And what are your numbers Mr. T.Rob???? * Cyndi *

Well, I was back in Vegas last week at the same conference I was at last year right before the surgery. What was really cool was that some people didn't recognize me! One guy even did the slack jawed "holy $#1t, is that you?" thing. But there were two compliments I really savored. One person said I was "looking svelte". That is undoubtedly the first time in my life that word has ever been applied to me. The other one I got talking to a colleague on the phone today who had never met me prior to this year's conference. I presented a session on computer security which she attended. My new friend remarked on the phone today that she noticed an unusually large number of women in my audience. She just happened to deliver that news in another phrase that I'm pretty sure has never been applied to me before in my life. She said "well I don't know what you did but you sure know how to draw the ladies to your session!" Well, I can die now. I have truly heard it all. -- T.Rob

Congratulations! That is still on my list but I share the roller-coaster goal with you. I'm in Vegas in two weeks, maybe I'll go on the Stratosphere or New York, New York. If you are going to lose your shirt in Vegas, doing so because you are upside down and going 45mph is the way to do it. -- T.Rob
