Topic: RE: Sunday Weigh In
It's been a long time since I've posted on the Sunday weigh in...I've been at the same weight for WEEKS. I decided this week to get back to some basics--and it worked. I started pushing more protein and trying to eat more fruits and veggies as fillers instead of carbs. I finally lost 6 lbs! Hooray!! I was getting worried!!
Day of Surgery: 367

Total this week: 6 lbs

Just 6 lbs til Onederland!!! I sure hope to be there before my one year surgiversary. I have a little over a month to do it! =) Wish me luck!

Topic: Six Flags!
Well, I finally made my much anticipated trip to Six Flags today! Haven't been there in over 10 years...and it's 10 minutes from my house. I used to live there...until I got too big to ride the rides. One of my main goals after this surgery was to go back...and ride everything. I went today...and didn't get to ride everything (because my 8 year old sister was with me and she's too short). BUT--everything we road (including big roller coasters)...I was able to fit with no problem at all. Unfortunately, I did see some people who were tugging and pulling at lap belts and lap bars to be able to ride.....and it broke my heart to see them. I REMEMBER what that was like--it's an awful feeling! I must admit, the first ride we road was a huge wooden roller coaster, The Texas Giant. I remember the very last time I rode it (I was in 10th grade)...I said I'd never get back on it again...because I ALMOST didn't fit. I was really nervous to sit down...I kept eyeballing the seat...but I fit with no problem today. It was a GREAT feeling! Just wanted to share =) Oh yeah, and me and Roxanne (also a Mayster) are going again next Saturday...and I plan on riding as many big roller coasters as I can drag her on! I'll let you know how it goes...lol.

Topic: RE: Less 120lbs and now have new aches and pains..any one else?
I've been experiencing the same thing - back and neck soreness. And I've notice it easier to strain my neck muscles. I also think I've been hunching over - and know I need to work out. It's just been so easy to lose these 165 lbs without doing anything. I envy those who got started early on a work out routine and have built up their muscles rather than letting them melt away...

Congratulations Julia!!! Isn't it wild how sooooooooo much can change in such a short amount of time. Don't have regrets about timing. Obviously it was "your" time to have the surgery and be so successful. You've done such hard work and I"m so happy for you!

Topic: Less 120lbs and now have new aches and pains..any one else?
May 14,2007 and I am 124 lbs less. Lately I have been having aches and pains in my back and sholders. I think it could be the way I carry myself now. I noticed in the store mirror when I walk by that I seem a little hunched over. I went to a charapractor he said I have no muscle left in my neck and sholders. So now I am using some barbells to build more. I also notice when I sleep and turn over that I am more stiff and my bones "crack." I am curious if I am alone or if this is just one of the little set backs to the so many positives.

WOW!!!! Toni you are doin a awesome job 115lbs in 11 months thats great! you look Beautiful and yes we all want it now. Just feel the satifictation of what you have accomplished in such a short time. I cant even comperhend how big I was 11 months back when I see the pictures OMG! I was huge! It's still so hard not to see that fat girl everytime I look at myself and it is sooooo wierd being able to shop in misses and jrs. I know this is the best thing I have ever done for myself I just wish I would have done it sooner LOL! GOOD LUCK the last 33 pounds will come off before you know it.

Congrats on your 100 pounds lost and only have a few until goal thats awesome. I am having a hard time loosing the last 33 pounds until my goal. the closer I get the harder it seems to get there but I have to look at like I have lost over 100 pounds in 11 months. I guess im selfish and want it now. Can you believe we are all coming up on a year and what a ride it has been good luck to ya all. Hugs Toni
