Hi and good luck! I can tell you that the year has flown by. I'm amazed by that fact the most. I remember being tired and feeling "icky" after my surgery but I had minimal problems afterward. I was able to take a few weeks off work (I had the time) and just took it easy. After a few weeks I just went back to my crazy busy schedule and managed fine. The pounds melt off and before you know it you've lost sixy, seventy etc pounds. It's amazing. What I will stress though is to get the water and protein in, something I don't always do and I've noticed when I haven't I get sluggish, sick and my system gets out of whack. It takes a few days then to get back into order which isn't good. I'm hard headed and I've learned not to do it again after this most recent fiasco. But, I am so happy I've had the operation as I am healthy, nothing aches and I am able to breath and move well. It is well worth it. The biggest thing that bothered me the most is the temporary hair loss about three months after the surgery but it eventually stopped and is growing back in. No problems since. Good luck and God bless. Keep in touch!

Kristy,
How nice to hear from you. You are about to embark on the biggest and most wonderful amusement park ride in your life. Right now the surgery seems like such a big obstacle. After that part is all over you can get focused on attaining the new you.
I am so happy with my surgery that my wonderful wife has decided to have the same procedure. When she is approved, she will likely be having surgery around the same time as you. Just try not to think about the surgery too much and focus more on what life will be like afterwards. Use those first few months to really knock that weight off.
Best wishes to all of the Maysters of 08.

Seems to be something that happens to some people, I guess - I am right there with you guys. I doubt I lost anythingthis month, and didn't think I lost last month. But when I went to my NUT appointment last month, I had lost about 6 pounds but the amazing thing was that all of it was fat! I think that has something to do with the exercise.
So that kind of measurement as well as measuring inches are other good indicators. We just have to keep the steady course and not get discouraged - because that road leads to a not great place, one I NEVER want to visit again.
Let's all of us "stallers" keep in touch.....
