Topic: Sunday Weigh In!
Hi everyone. We finally had some decent days here in South Jersey. I got in two 4 mile walks. I was so happy to be able to walk outside again. My "snack attacks" have returned with a vengeance. I'm trying hard not to give in but that emotional eating never really leaves you I guess.
Highest right before surgery: 265.8
Day of surgery: 255
Last week: 144.6
This morning: 144.6
Loss this week: Nothing....but no gain either! lol
Total pounds lost: 121.2 pounds
Pounds until surgeon's goal: -5.4 pounds
Pounds until MY goal: I'm below it baby!!!!!
Have a fantastic week May Team!

You said >> I looked at my "before" pics this morning and I barely even remember her. She was tired all the time and just really didn't care. Now I look in the mirror at this face that always has on lipstick and makeup and the hair is "done"...not just tossed in a ponytail.

Ach - it's been more than 5 weeks, or that's what it feels like. Originally I wanted 135 since that was the top of the insurance charts for my height. Now, I more realistically am aiming for 140, since that will get me to a normal BMI.
Scale has been put away, am tracking my food religiously (almost pathologically) in 4 places
and am trying to increase proteins and fiber, However, I find that I'm becmoming hungrier too. My NUT says this has to do with the increase in my level of exercise, but she insists that I'm doing fine.
It's a matter of patience a recognition that I am doing (mostly) the right things, an awareness and planning of what I need to eat, and to stop whining.
and be gratful!
Thanks, Cyndi I appreciate the encouragement more than youknow!

I'm celebrating my 10-month today. It is so unbelievable to me how quickly 10 months has gone. I looked at my "before" pics this morning and I barely even remember her. She was tired all the time and just really didn't care. Now I look in the mirror at this face that always has on lipstick and makeup and the hair is "done"...not just tossed in a ponytail.
I've been "reminding" Mark for days that I MUST have my pics done today. He blew me off for my 9 months and I'm still angry about that. lol I took a pic of my scale this morning. Never in my life, or during my research OR talks with my surgeon did I ever expect to see 144.4 on a scale. Sure, I thought maybe 244.4 was doable. I cruised past that one. lol
I'm so grateful for all my friends here on the May board. I could never have been this successful without the love and support from all of you.
We need to start planning for May! What a fabulous month that's going to be!!!!!

Hang in there Cyndi! My scale was stuck at 148-150 for about 5 weeks then BAM it started moving again. What is the "bottom line" number you want to reach? I think your NUT may be more correct than your surgeon. My surgeon told me I'd be lucky to hit 150 after being stalled at 152 for forever. lol Eh, what do they know. LOL
You can do it! Step away from the scale for a bit. Are you tracking your foods? Maybe there's something going on that's making you hold onto 148. Stranger things have happened.
You'll get there. Just be patient!

I would have done the same thing T.Rob. When you have the chance to enjoy a little extra...take it. Then you can always get back on the stick. It is great that you had such a good time...so just don't feel guilty. Okay, time to hit it again...

I stayed the same this week at 198 and still happy to be in Onederland.
I enjoyed some of the candy...and like T.Rob...I don't dump so I had a little more. It is gone now and I asked Christine not to buy any of the 50% off stuff. We had enough and it is time to get back on track and focused for the next round of weight losses. I can't believe how close the numbers are getting to my goal. This happens so fast when you look back on it and so slowly while you are going through it. That is what helps me stay focused...knowing that when I look back on it, it will all seem worth it.
Have a great week.

T.Rob,
What a treat to hear from my good friend. I know you've been busy proving your expertise in the technology world. It is always so great to hear from you.
Are you still working to get more off or at least where you want to be? Keep plugging away...slow and steady wins the race you know.
