Betsy,
That was a nice update and a review of the positives in life. It is amazing how fast things are going now. We had spring break here and it just flew by. I was, like you were, stuck in the same spot. You are right with the increase of exercise as a way to get things going again. Everything was so exciting during the losses that it seems a bit anti-climatic now. We were dropping those pounds left and right and now we fight for every pound. I still wouldn't trade a thing....what a life we now have. I also checked out your new pics and would not have recognized you....great job...keep it going.

Topic: New Photos
I have added new photos if anyone wants to view them. I can't believe in almost 6 weeks, it will be one year since I had surgery.
What a ride!!!

Topic: Just about me.....
Just thought I would write a little about me. I know I am not on too much because of my busy school schedule and stuff. I made the Dean's list last semester and I am half way through this semester. I have already registered for one summer class on-line and registered for all my fall classes too! Hopefully, I can finish my degree in one more year. I am going to try anyway!
My scale seems to be stuck right now. Of course I know why. It's because I haven't been exercising like I should. I walk around the campus, but when I come home, I am busy doing homework at my desk. I am going to have secretary spread........oh wait, I already have it! Lol!!
Anyway, life is good for me right now (even if the scale isn't moving). I feel the best I have in 15 years. I thank God everyday for all my blessings!! I know I would not be were I am today without his guidance and my friends on OH.
Thank you all!!
Have a good day,
~~Betsy

Topic: RE: Happy Easter Sunday Weigh-In!
Hi Friends,
I finally got moved to Utah from California and I am back on board. I have eaten more then I should because I don't like to move and we moved from the home I have lived in since 1979 and raised my children in so I have had a very emotional month.
At least I have all of you to talk to. I love you all.
Before surgery: 279.5
Last weigh in: 169
This week: 168
Weight loss: 1 pound
Total loss: 111.5
It's good to be back with you all.
Love and hugs,
Esther

Not weighing myself anymore....for now. I'm still stuck at 148 - I had a visit with my surgeon last week and he feels that for all intents and purposes, I am "done". My NUT feels otherwise: she says with the amount of exercise I am doing, I still have more weight to lose.
Because it was becoming such an unhealthy obsession and was really making me crazy, I decided to take a break from the scale. Only weighing in at the doc's or at the NUT's for now.
In a way I did reach my goal - I eat differently, I have lost nearly 90% of my excess weight, I exercise regularly...I need to (as my NUT says) have my head catch up with my physical success. Yeah, I had a number in my head - not going to make that anytime soon, especially not by my one-year. I WOULD like to reach a normal BMI by one year - I'm about 3 points away.
So I am working hard at getting my head space in the right place - and that, my friends is also a success, of sorts.
