Topic: Celebrating my 9 months in a special way!!!
Well, today I celebrate my 9 month surgiversary. I celebrate the end of another 9 month journey today. 11 years ago at 1:28 a.m. on February 25th I gave birth to my miracle baby. The baby they told me I'd NEVER have. So, it's really special that the 25th is also my surgiversary day. Because, frankly, I never thought I'd be thin. And never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine myself in size 6 pants. LOL I'm buying cake for the family but I'll stay away from it. I need my scale to move. It's been bouncing between 147.2 and 148.2. How freaking annoying. But, at least it's not the 226 that I saw leaving the hospital 11 years ago. LOL
Hope you all have a terrific week!

Courtney....My Dietician told me that it takes a solid six weeks of regulare excercise to start to see a consistent difference in the scale.....Hang in there....you have lost ALOT of weight in a short amount of time.....give your body a chance to re-coup.....but I totally understand what you are frustrated about. Also make sure you are not putting your body into starvation mode by burning to many of your eaten calories!!!!!

I weight daily, but the only one that counts is Sunday morning, after using the bathroom and just before I jump into the shower. That weight is around 3-5 pounds different than the surgeons scale, and usually within 2 pounds of the nut scale. My nut says it is the clothes. I have actually never weighed at my PCP's office. For so many years I could not weigh on his scale as it only went to 300 pounds. Now I have no problems stepping on any scale. Yes, the number is still too high, but it is going down and that is the goal.

Awwww....hang in there John. You're right though. It's terribly frustrating to keep weighing the same. I have two stupid pounds to get to my final goal of 145. It sucks. I used to be able to move my piano all by myself. Shoot, since losing all this weight I can't move it 2 inches let alone the 10 feet to go on the wall where I want it. lol I used to use my butt and/or hips to get it started. If I do it now all I'll get are bruised hips and butt. lol I can't wait until it warms up here too. I truly miss my 5 mile morning walks. It's just me, my iPod, some great Motown and/or 80s music and my beautiful park. Sure, the snow is pretty but I wanna get out there and walk. I joined a gym and, honestly, can't find the time to get there. If I didn't go to school with the owner I'd feel really crappy about it.
Hopefully the pesky scale will move for you soon John. I know you'll make that final goal. And, I can't wait to welcome you to Onederland!!!

This is so frustrating to just keep staying the same. I want to get out and walk and the weather seems to be finally starting to break. Cold or no cold, I may just brave the weather and get myself going again. I am lifting weights with my sons. You'll get a kick out of this...they describe me as a lightweight with the heart of Rocky Balboa. I have no real strength since the surgery, so I have to start from scratch.

Okay. I think last week's 5 lb. loss was partially because I was totally dehydrated. I think last week's loss was more like 3 lbs... But anyway, here are my numbers.
Highest 378
surgery 354
last week 223.? (or 225)
today 222.8
Total loss - 155.2 lbs.
I'll say this week's loss was 3 lbs. Not going to let myself get that dehydrated again.
Have a great week everyone.
