Topic: RE: What do you use as your weigh-in standard?
I go by my scale at home in the am/no clothes so at the dr office druing the day with clothes I am 2 to 3 lbs heavier but I tend to wear the lightest clothes to those visits I can LOL!

Your surgeon's scale, your GP's scale, your scale at home at the end of the day fully clothed, your scale at home in the morning without clothing? I know the key is to be consistant and use the same guideline, but I'm interested to hear what you use.
I use the last one; when I weign in at my NUT's office, I'm usually 3 lbs heavier, but that;s at the end of the day with clothes. My surgeon's office scale tends to be way off the numbers I get at home/at my NUT and my GP's scale is just right! Go figure....
Since I weigh in at home more than any other place, that's what I decided to go by.

Topic: RE: The six month stall
Wow, I thought it was just me. I have been stalling since the holidays and I am SICK OF IT!! I am starting to wonder, "Is this going to be it for me?". So I started looking at what I am doing and I know I should be working out more.
I also know I have been grazing on a couple hundred more calories a day then I should be. I also have been going back to my mug of coffee in the morning and I'm feeling guilty about that, too. I eat real good all day until I get home from work in the evening. Then the hunger hits me like a Mack truck and I start snacking while I make the family dinner. Then I eat and am too bloated to exercise. I stay up too late doing work for my job, wake up early the next day and then I'm exhausted.
That is my daily/weekly cycle. I'm too tired to exercise, to weak to refuse those hunger urges in the eveing and then I graze about at night. I have been stuck at 240 pounds since Christmas.
Yesterday I woke my pathetic butt up early and decided I should try to do my exercise in the mornings since I am too tired at night. Maybe this will kick my out of the late night habits I have been in. I excercised to a new workout DVD (Turbo Jam, bought it off the TV from an info-mercial). I did it for about 15 minutes, felt fine and got ready for work. Then at lunch time I felt energic and decided to go for a walk...perfect for me, I'm really making a turn-around! Last night the muscle pain and back ache started. I am sooooo sore today. I'm really hurting. I don't want to move today.
Any suggestions anyone? Who has been through these types of cycles and how do I break out of this???

Hi Monica! Congrats to you and the rest of the July Team! Thinking back two month I'm sure that was the time of my four-week Christmas stall. I went up and down the same two pounds for about four weeks. Unfortunately for me, it took a MAJOR dumping episode to move the scale. lol Hang in there! I've lost 10 pounds since that stall and am happily 3 pounds under my surgeon's goal and just 2 pounds from mine. Tell everyone to hang in there, keep exercising and keep sipping. That light will shine through!!!!
Good luck!

Monica, I have been stalled since about the end of November. I am only 5 pounds from goal and I think my body has selected this as my goal weight. I don 't know if that helps or not, but good luck! Sue
