Topic: RE: Walking Speed
I walk for 35 minutes with a speed of 3.5. I do the interval with the incline going back and forth between a 2 and a 4 every 2 minutes. And then i lift weights for a while. I think 3.4 to 3.7 is good
You're doing great!

I do 30 minutes at 4.2, with an incline of 2. Hope this helps......
You are doing an amazing job.....I have falling way off track and am clawing my way back on schedule.

Topic: Walking Speed
For those walkers out there, just wondering how fast you are walking. On the treadmill, I'm anywhere between 3.4 and 3.7 mph at 35-45 min. a day. (my machine says 4.0 is a jog). Just thought I'd ask...

Topic: The six month stall
Hello Everyone.....
I had surgery in July, so most of you are about 2 months ahead of me in your weight loss. It seems as though the majority of people on the July board (myself included) are experiencing a major stall in our weight-loss. Have you experienced this? Is there light at the end of the tunnel?? Help!!

Good for you John! And, you're right. You're just too close to Onederland to NOT want it. It's a funny number to hit. I kept weighing myself and weighing myself just to make sure I was seeing the scale correctly. It's freezing your butt off cold here too. I honestly miss my 4.5 mile walks. My best pal and I are waiting though. It's our best gossip time and we're ready to break our time record.
How long until Spring???
Wishing you all a great week!!!

Hmmm...
It looked like I was going to have a good week and then we went away for the weekend to my son's basketball tournament. I ate stuff that I normally wouldn't...no, I didn't go hog wild or anything like that. I just ate stuff that was out of the ordinary. So when I can home, it looked like I had just stayed the same. Actually, I'm pretty happy at my current weight and I could be prefectly content here at 205. The idea of hitting that Onderland mark though is just too tempting. I have not walked since November and I am so ready for this cold weather to break since I want to get back to my morning walks.
So, for now...I'm the same....just as happy as I can be..
Have a great week.
John

Okay--so I got up and weighed this mornig and was a TINY bit disappointed. I had weighed a few days ago and I was down to 212.8...this morning I was 214.8! I hate that. I guess that's why they say to weigh once a week. Oh well!
Surgery day: 367
TWO weeks ago: 224
This week: 215
Loss in 2 weeks: 9 lbs
Total loss since surgery: 152 lbs
Have a great week everyone
Topic: RE: Sun. Weigh In
Well I missed Sunday due to being out of town...and I have actually gained 3 pounds also. I had to supervise a wrestling tournament this weekend out of town, so eating healthy was a huge challenge. I did not fail miserably, but eating out takes a toll on me, as I tend to get a lot more salt than I normally would eat, and at $2.75 for a 16 oz bottle of water, I don't drink like I should either. I will say that I think the 3 pounds are water weight as my ankles are huge, and I have not seen them that way in almost 8 months.......OH well, back on track starting today!!!
Last week 257
This week 260
