I wanted to do it but it just doesn't work for me. Too much going on. I did a lot better yesterday though. I had two Fuzzy Navel shakes, I had a salad for lunch, a couple bites of Cracker Barrel's Coca-Cola cake (I LOVE that stuff!) and for dinner a little meat loaf and I tried peas. LOL I've been at 148.0 since about January 27th. Every darned time I eat some of that cake I see a loss on the scale. lol Darned if I wasn't 147.6 this morning. LOL
Oh, and I got in 80 oz of liquid. Go me!!! As for exercise, I'm doing horrible. I haven't been to the gym in two weeks.

Topic: RE: Calories????
I just asked my nut this the other day. She wants me around 800-1000 calories a day. I've stalled by not eating enough - working on getting the calories, protein and liquids in.

Donna, as much as I want too I can't seem to wrap my mind around it. It's the old diet thing, I'm on a diet so lets see how bad we can be. I think it's call self sabotage. So getting back to basics is my aim and trying not to put the diet spin on it. I feel like I'm letting you down, but I know that really I'm letting myself down. Good luck to you and keep me posted on how you're doing. Maybe you will be my motivation!!!! Hugs, Sue

How is everyone doing on the Plateau Buster that is trying it? I did better yesterday than the day before. Today's goal is to be totally compliant.

Hi Sally! Welcome to the May board! I asked this when I saw my surgeon a couple weeks ago. He doesn't have me dwell on calories. He wants me to concentrate on protein (65 grams a day), fluids (64+ oz a day) and three meals and two snacks if I want. Are you getting enough fluids in? Are you getting your protein? I'm not a breakfast person so I have a shake for breakfast. Typically it's either a Fuzzy Navel or Orange Creamsicle shake. I love sweets! lol For lunch it's usually kiddie grilled chicken tenders at Cracker Barrel. We have lots of lunch meetings so it's my standby unless they have beef noodle soup. I'm not as dedicated to FitDay.com but have you tried using that? I know I mentioned to my surgeon someone "insisted" on the Main Board we should be gettting about 1200 calories a day. His comment? "Bet they gain a lot back too". lol He told me with the sizes of our pouches, unless we're olympic athletes, it shouldn't be more than 1000 calories a day. I'm lucky to get in 850 calories a day. My shakes are 95 calories and I have 2 a day. Chicken isn't high at all.
Make sure you're getting the protein and the fluids. Or, maybe your body is readjusting. When I hit stalls I know the inches are melting. I've been stuck at 148 since about January 26 but I got on size 6 jeans the other day. I have a feeling I'll be at 145 soon. lol
Good luck!!!!

Topic: Calories????
I thought this would be a great board to post on since we are all the same "distance" from our surgery date. How many calories do you think you are taking in on any given day? Did your surgeon give you a guideline of how many you should be eating in a day? I am wondering if I am eating too many calories, if that is why I am at a "stall". Would appreciate any input one might share.

Topic: RE: 110 gone and standing still...
I know what you mean Jen. I've been stalled at 148.0 since around January 26th. No matter what I do, the scale doesn't budge. It's very frustrating. I have three more pounds to lose until *my* goal and it feels like I'll never get there.
We're freezing our butts off here in South Jersey. When I took Britt to her safety patrol post at 8:05 this morning it was 2 degrees. I made her and another little boy sit in my SUV until they saw walkers coming. Then they got back in. This weather is nuts!!!
Good luck moving that scale!!!
