Just got my date today! Anyone else out there?
It's four days before my birthday, so it's pretty exciting!! I've only waited 8 years for this moment.

Hi everybody!
I just got back to my hotel room. I am in my 2nd day post op and everything is perfect. The gas pains were terrible until last night. I also had severe headaches. The hospital staff was amazing; they did everything possible to make me comfortable. I don't have any bad pains anymore; I would call it more discomforts. I am so happy I did this; absolutely no regrets.

Good Luck to everyone on their surgery. I mine is on May 11, 2011. I've been on liquid for 3 weeks. It has been a struggle, but I've lost 26 pounds. Excited and nervous about surgery. Just think we are starting a new way of life. I just want to be able to walk without being out of breath.

The thought of being able to lead a "normal" life is very exciting. I know there are many changes that I must make, but I am willing to make those changes to better myself.

I'm also having surgery on May 10th, and May 17th is my birthday! 
What a great gift we are giving ourselves!
