Hi Pam~ Sorry to hear that you're still not feeling up to par. The 120's~ holy cow!! I haven't seen those since I was in middle school!!! I did, however, break into the 170's this morning...another number I haven't seen since I was in my early years of college! I was pretty stoked to finally have broken the 180's where I've been stuck for 2 months. I did fair today with my eating~ double protein drink, few bites of steak, small piece of halibut, some nuts, a piece of sf chocolate, a couple of T of bean dip/few pita chips. I'll probably have another single shot of protein this evening after my walk. Almost all vits, calcium, and B-12 are in...need 1 more. Gotten about 45-50 oz. of liquid in so far. Played an hour of racquetball~ was Waaaaay off of my game today. Will be doing a 3 mile walk/run in an hour or two. Hope you and your son are feeling happy and healthy soon! Hugs, Kerri

feel better soon, girlfriend!!! now cmon, just cuz your sick, that means no starbucks??? LOL i am headed there soon, i will think of you! i still need to eat more though. i had a venti iced ff sf vanilla latte and will probably be having another one very soon! i went to my parents for dinner and i did eat probably close to a cup of chili and a slice of bread and butter. that was around 4:30 and was the first thing i ate today! i felt very jittery and forced myself to eat the whole bowl! it took me awhile, but i did it. i still felt shaky after though and my mom made me eat about 6 m&m's. LOL that did the trick though, the jitters went away! i need to try harder to fit in another meal. eating once a day is not good, i know. one day at a time.... hugs~mary jo

Thanks Pam. Yes, he was able to do it with the scope, but oh my what a procedure. They actually had to dislocate my hip to do it. The table I was on is called a fracture table...looked like a torture machine. Glad I was fast asleep. I'm doing just what he told me to do...take it easy. I just feel a bit tired out more than anything. And...they must have pumped me full of fluids during that surgery because I gained 3 lbs! And...I haven't eaten much at all since Tuesday! Oh well...as soon as I can get active again it will start coming off again I'm sure. Thanks for your hugs...right back at you. Love, Deb

Well, boo-boo and i are still dealing with the tummy virus. So not a lot to report here today. I've been able to eat a few crackers, drink hot tea and water, and nibbled on a little bit of Turtle chex mix - for some reason I'm craving the sweet N Salty stuff. PROBABLY because I'm a bit dehydrated. I can honestly tell you that protein is just NOT an option today. My scale DROPPED to 123 - that was this morning - and I'm still dealing with the bug. That tells ya wha****er weight does to you.....or in this case, dehydration. Now, I'll admit, that's the lowest number i've seen on the scale since I was 12 years old and it was kind of cool to see....but I really don't want to be any less than 125 and I know it will fly right back on soon as i'm over this sickness. I hope everyone else is doing better today! Hugs, Pam

Hey Deb!! I've been wondering about you! Wow, you've been back to back busy! Was the doc able to do your surgery orthroscopically? Sounds like you are doing very well post-op. My husband just had knee surgery about three weeks ago. He just went back to work. Well, you take it easy and get all healed up. Sounds like you are doing exactly what you should be doing. ((((hugs)))) Pam

Hi All, I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I do read almost daily. It's been crazy here since we got back from Europe with Mark and Amelia's wedding, a wedding to photograph, and then Wednesday (8/23) I had my hip surgery. My ortho told me that he was able to save only about 20% of my labrum (cartiledge) in my hip. He said there was some arthritis but not horrible. Now I just have to take it easy for a couple more days. I'm using my crutches only when I need them, like when the pain meds wear off, and I'm feeling pretty good. I've really been concentrating on getting some extra protein in and have been avoiding carbs these last couple days so I can get in that protein. Need that protein for healing. Hope you are all doing well. Have a great rest of the weekend. Love, Deb

I too am in 14/16's Renee. And I too make some bad choices now and again. I sometimes stubbornly eat crap I know will make me sick! But I won't give up. I am still gonna give it everything I have to get to my goal weight. I agree totally with Pam. You cannot "lose" control. Take it back and do what you can. Start with every other day I will eat nothing but protein and see what happens. Or allow yourself one treat a day. I do this sometimes and it helps. As long as our calorie count is still good we will still lose. Wendy
