Thank you Kerri,
I remember when you were trying so hard!! I was just thinking about that yesterday in fact. It feels like it is so close yet so far away all at the same time!! Your right though, I am stubborn and will get to goal.

Yikes~ I'm not even sure I can remember everything...isn't that horrible!!!! Let's see...
Double shot of protein drink- min. 45g of protein
2 lg tablespoons of bean/cheese dip (leftovers) with about 10 pita chips (yikes!)
1 serving of snapea crisps- 5g of protein
about 6 bites of steak (don't know how many oz. that is)
a couple of handfuls of mixed nuts
1 sf mint truffle bar
And then I went to a Bunco night~
2-3 meatballs
sm spoonfull of cheese dip
2 tortilla chips
2 baby carrots with ranch dip
2 grapes
2 bites of tuna
another 1.5 scoop protein drink late tonight
Crystal light raspberry lemonade, protein drinks, and water- combined intake about
50-60 oz.
All vitamins, calcium, and B-12 in! (Finally something to feel good about!)
No exercise today other than using an exercise ball. I did however do my first interval training (walk 3 min., run 1 min.) last night for 3 miles~ 45 min. I was still a little tired from that today.
I haven't wanted to do this post, which is exactly why I need to do it!!! I have been grazing so much, that I don't know the exact amounts of things. A little bit of nuts here, a couple of crackers there. I really need to go back to measuring things out and not eating in between meals. I figure that since I'm only using a saucer plate, whatever I can fit on there should be about what I'm able to eat. I guess this isn't always true.
Anyways, thanks Pam (I think~
) for starting this, and I'll try to force myself to participate.
As for the prayer part, that I CAN do! I will absolutely be praying for God's will to be revealed to you. Let us know what happens.
Love ya!
Kerri

Topic: I WROTE THIS TO A LOCAL PAPER RE CUTTING GASTRIC BY PASS
It is with great distress that I write this e-mail after reading the article in the August 24th edition of the Daily News.
After being super morbidly obese most of my adult life and after moving back to Nova Scotia from Ottawa after 12 years, I decided that I should look into the gastric-bypass. I had a consultation with Dr. E. S. MacDonald in Halifax in1999 and was told that at 555 lbs. I was a prime candidate for the surgery. I had the surgery on June 23, 2005. I was one of Dr. MacDonald's last patients before he retired.
In the meantime, I did lots of research online, whi*****luded the website ObesityHelp.com. Every day, I chat with people all over the world who have already had the surgery or are waiting to have it. We help each other deal with weight and eating issues. As a result of my success, I have many new friends who consider me an inspiration. My new American friends cannot believe how long the waiting list is in Canada.
Yesterday was the 14 month anniversary of my surgery. I have lost 300 lbs since that day in June 2005 - now weighing 255 lbs. I moved to Fredericton, NB in March/06 as a much smaller man. I have a new life with a great job.
I have Dr. MacDonald to thank for my new life because without the surgery, I probably would not be here today. At 555 lbs, I was slowly killing myself.
I think that the Nova Scotia government should find the funding to re-establish the gastric-bypass program. There are many people that need this surgery...probably a few politicians should have it as well. The government here in New Brunswick funds the surgery. Obesity is a big problem in Nova Scotia....do these people not deserve to get help? Alcoholics, drug addicts and gamblers get help. Obesity is just as big a problem as those issues.
I hope that the government of Nova Scotia wakes up and does the right thing and helps the 24,000 plus obese people in the Province. Someday they might just need their votes.

Topic: RE: Update, Visit with Surgeon
Hi Pam!
Yes, I was not good about my gyn visits. I was just too embarrassed to go. The exam is bad enough but I was taking a gamble with my life. I hope that all will go well. I have an appointment scheduled for September 13th.
I made my other plastic surgery consult appointments. One on August 31st and the second one on September 11th. At least by the time I go to Atlanta for a seminar on September 15th, I'll have all my appointments done. I did go to the dentist on Tuesday for my regular scheduled appointment for a cleaning. So after my gyne appointment, I will have a complete health check. After my return, it will be full speed ahead working towards my ps with one stop in Hawaii. I'm taking the OH Hawaii cruise on November 6th.
Now I'm ready for that special ice cream treat I mentioned in your accountability post!
Soon it's time for bed and some needed sleep...
to dream about a flat tummy and less skin on my legs!
Hugs,
Lucy

Good evening Sandra. Thanks for your response.
I am ever so ready for reconstructive ps. I made my two ps consult appointments already. I have one on August 31st and the 2nd one on September 11th. My gyne appointment to follow on September 13th.
I'm a person who always plans ahead and gets my ducks in a row. This is an important step in my WLS journey. What a way to end the year! Look out 2007, here I come! No more apron; I had it for years.
WOW, you've got only 4 pounds to your goal! Congratulations on your WLS success
Hugs,
Lucy

Good evening Pam.
OK, I'm game.. Here's my day of eating:
Breakfast - nothing as I had to weigh in at the doctors office.
Early morning - had a large cup of coffee with skim milk and 1 serving of hazelnut flavored coffee creamer
Lunch - lettuce salad with FF raspberry vinagerette and milk chocolate stallone pudding, 20 grams protein
Dinner - tuna steak - 35 grams protein, cauliflower with brummels and brown spread, 1 tsp.
Snack - blueberries and light and fit blueberry yogurt - 5 g protein
Lots of water and my vitamins. 60 grams of protein in total.
Actually today was a great day for me. The past few days I was eating too much.
Exercise - 30 minutes on the Tony Little Gazelle Rider.
Pam, I want to eat your vanilla almond biscotti, cheetos, fritos and anything else you can send me over cyberspace!
That's my brain, eyes and mouth speaking..
I'd like to add a large serving of my favorite soft serve ice cream with chocolate sauce, nuts and whipped cream. Oh, Oh shame on me! At least I'm being honest here. I know that physically I couldn't eat all that and would
I will say a prayer that you will get this job!
Pam, it doesn't sound like you did that bad today. Only the biscotti, few cheetos and fritos.. The rest is healthy food.
God bless and hugs too,
Lucy

I bet riding that bike was great! I haven't been on a real bike in forever! I'd like to try that soon....can't do it in my neighborhood though...too many dogs
I'll have to get the bike in the truck and go to the park and try it!
