I went through a period of three months where I didn't lose anything.  I was eating too many carbs (pretzels and pita chips) and peanuts!  When I cut those things out and made a more conscious effort to get in lots of fluids I started to lose again.

Check your diet and see where you could be taking in hidden calories and fats.  Keep moving  forward.  You can do it!

I do understand Shan I think I was at a stall for about 2 and a half months. Then the scale started moving again. But through that time I did notice that I was losing inches as well. I changed my protein shake and I started getting in more water and that wonderful scale is moving along. Check the sugar in your protein shake and up the water intake and don't stop your exercise. I hope your scale will move again real soon.

I have a dream . . .

Wouldn't it be great if we could all get together somewhere and have our own little "July 2009 WLS" party? It would be great to meet everyone in person.

Hi Kristie, Thanks for your support!

I read you post about "goal weight" and changing it. I think you have to go with your own "gut feelings". If you feel healthy and happy and satisfied with where your at, that is what matters.

Personally, I weigh myself on my Wii Fit and it suggests that my ideal weight would be 148 lbs for a good BMI. I'm probably going to reset my "new" goal weight for a little less than 150 lbs. However, that extra skin thing does play a factor in it. I hope to be able to have some loose skin removed somewhere down the road. That skin has to weigh something, right? I'm still a little over 60 lbs. from my original goal of 150 lbs. That is what I'm sticking with for now then I'll see how I feel.

Everyone is telling me how good I look now. But when I look in the mirror when I'm naked I still see a lot of fat and loose skin. In my head I still have a ways to go. Maybe it's the old "fat mentality" clouding my new less heavy brain. I realize I have to get over that, I'm a work in progress.

Hello I haven't been to the site in a while now but I had the RNY done in July of 2009 and I have lost 115lbs but I have lost NOT  1 pound  in abt 3 months now. I just don't understand what is going on I see people are taking like laxatives and doing different things. I was wondering if someone could help me out on how to get the weight to moving again inches or something. I wonder if protein shakes and no food would help???? When I started exercising the weight came to a STOP so I stopped walking too cause I wasn't losing but I am still in the same boat need help on what to do?????

Topic: RE: Anyone adjusted their goal weight??

I did!  I have no idea what my goal weight should be, so I just set under 200 as my goal.  And I blew past that..I didn't even realize when it came and now I'm hovering around 191-194.  It's kind of amazing.

I have to be like 130 to not be considered overweight and I doubt I'll make it that small.  I'd be happy if it stopped now, but I'd love to lose the weight still kicking around in my upper half..it's rough being a 14 on the bottom and a 16-18 on the top!

Kristie...
I think I'am .. I mean you know how sometimes we see what we feel like it should be but in reality it's about how you feel about yourself, and how healthy your body feels.. Right now I'm less than 2 lbs of hitting my Challenge 200LBS!!! That just feel good, and have learned along they way my aim was to live longer.. that was my greatest goal.. plus..I looked like the person I use to know.. If I don't lose another drop.. I SOOOO HAPPY STILL!!
P.S.
I LUV TRUE BLOOD 2.. IM READY FOR THE NEW SEASON!!
LUV YA KRISTIE!!!
