Girl, drink MILK! It does the body good! The carbs in milk comes from the lactose, a natural sugar. It has protein and calcium. Don't stop drinking milk. We need carbs in our diet. I drink a cup of milk in my morning coffee with a packet of diet cocoa and it gives me almost as much protein as the only protein shake I can stomach. You'll get there, keep plugging along! Keep your head up! July is still 4 months away.

From what I've read, if it's got ALOT of protein, then the carbs kind of get cancelled out, not really, but over rules the carbs, plus I suspect they're the "good carbs" vs. the bad ones. Are you drinking skim milk? The protein drinks I drink have zero carbs and I get about 12 carbs in 1 cup of fat free/skim. I think you're doing just fine. I know I panicked a bit at first two when I saw the amount of carbs in milk, but I'm over it now. I don't know if it's possible to have a carb free diet. You could always cut back by using water with your protein shakes, but then you get to where they aren't as tasty.

Well today I went back to walmart to return something then pick up a few items. Then ended up going to kmart for shorts for myself since the large I bought last time seem to baggy so I got a medium. So got alot of walking in. Then came home and did my ball exercises 100 push ups, 200 sit ups, 200 side twist then an hour on the recumbent bike. Now the rest of the night going to put it up on a pillow. While watching the biggest loser. I really missed the gym today. You don't burn the calories like you do on the elipitical or treadmill. So I only burn very little calories with the recumbent bike believe it was like 10 miles and 260 calories that really sucks.

mmmm fried rice! I forgot everything else after I read that, lol!
I don't think I can do no carbs for life. I have to have some bad carbs occasionally. Ok sometimes it's more than occasionally. Ok, probably daily.
I read in the Beck Diet Solution that if we choose to have a little splurge then we need to plan it into our day. Say we plan our little splurge as an evening snack then hopefully we can tell ourselves to wait until then. I'm still in chapter one so I'm still learning.

Hi Girlie!!! I've missed you!!! Get a new pic up! I wanna see!
I felt you were writing my post. I still have so many emotional issues.
I don't know what advice to give you because I'm right there with you. I do come here but not as often as I used to and I'm trying to change that. I have gone to some of my support groups and I love it when I go. It really renews me. But I've missed the last couple of months for whatever reason.
I vow not to miss support group next month!!!
Keep in touch!!!

The dietician said my carbs are fine especially all the exercising I am doing. I didn't get to the gym today due to dr appt and then letting me leg get some rest even though I went shopping most of the day. Just not intense like the elipitical or treadmill. I will do my ball exercises and possibly the recumbent bike if I am not in to much pain. I also talk to my regular doctor said to just keep taking the antibotics if it gets worst to call her. To me it is about the same it was last night. The foot dr said it was venous stasis dermatitis. Hmm who would you trust the gastric bypass dr who also happens to be a vascular surgeon. Also my family dr told me to stay on the antibotics and if gets worst to call her back.

Congratulations!!! You are doing great on the exercise. I have got to get on this part of my program! Thanks for being an inspiration!

I too had a goal in mind for our 1st year anniversary. Seeing as how slow the weight loss has been lately, I don't see that happening either. Yes, it frustrates the mess outta me. But I can't control the scale and it should not determine our success. Better said than done, I know, but we gotta keep saying it until we believe it.
I think you are doing fabulous!

First off, congrats on all the weight you have lost! It is getting harder for us at this point to lose weight. Everyone has slowed down a lot! It sounds like you are having a lot of carbs in your diet though. ( I really can't say too much though because they are healthy and I am a carb queen!)
You are doing so good with the excersize and calories though. Keep up the good work.
