My surgery date is August 22nd at 7:00 a.m. in Columbus, Ohio. I am excited, nervous, anxious, you name it! What did any of the post-ops do to keep themselves busy and their minds off surgery until the big day? Also, anyone have any family members who were not real "supportive" of the surgery? My mother and I are very clsoe but she is very nervous about the surgery and will not talk with me about it. She is afraid I will die under the knife. We lost my brother to liver cancer 3 years ago and she says she cannot bear to lose another child. I am NOT going anywhere!!!!

My surgery date is August 18, 2003, RNY with Dr. Dennis Smith in Marietta, GA

My insurance approved for me to have the surgery. However, The Methodist Hospital is out of area, and will have a higher amount to pay then what was expected. My surgery date is August 18th,2003. And a new life. God Bless You. Deborah

It looks like all my hounding Drs, and nurses, and insurance companies and anyone who stood in my way have finally paid off! I will be having surgery on August 28th! AT the faulkner hospital in Jamiaica plain ma. Wish me luck!
