Hello all, Well I am a 29 year old mother of 4 children and I'm having the RNY August 21st @7:30am. I am a little nervous because I have no family in NY. All my family live in NC. My husbands family and I are not very close so they do not know that I am having surgery. I have lived here in NY for 7 years and been married for 5. He brought three boys to the marriage and I brought one girl we have no kids biologically together. I am so scared that I do not have enough emotional support, although my husband does support me you know how men can be...very non chalant!!! If anyone has the time e-mail me I would appreciate it!! You are one day ahead of me as I will be going in on August 6th, I need to have a filter put in due to previous problems with PE's so its an additional proceedure pre-op, which pushed up the time. We all have special guardian angels who watch us through. I have a special bedroom, called my angel bedroom decorated with those Raphael' cherub angel's which are so precious. Read Psalms 91, that will help you, in those times to feel his comfort. I know I need a little more now as the day is approaching closer myself. I notice I am both excited and a little nervous too. Mary, Congratulations on your surgery date! My date is also aug 27th. I am so excited. I wish you the best and know that God will take care of you. I have prayed for you already that God brings you through it ok. I have also prayed for your mother to get well ASAP so that you may mentally prepare yourself for your surgery!
