wow just four more days til surgery and i am excited . iam not scared at alll i know this is what i am supposed too do with my life i have three grandchildern i have too be there for watch them grow up.

Topic: Monday (25th) is the big day!
This is actually the first time I've posted a message here, though I've read many of the posts already here. My surgery is on Monday and I'm doing great! I had my final weigh-in today and lost the 5 lbs. I had to lose. Except for a blood test this weekend, it's smooth sailing from here! I'm very excited with a few small butterflies mixed in. Thanks to everyone for all the support you've given me by just being here!

I can't believe that the 27th is almost here. It seemed so far away when I started this journey. Now, it will be here so quickly. Maybe I'm not normal, but I'm not nervous, worried, or scared at all. At least not at this moment. I am confident in my surgeon, and with God at my side, how can I fail? Congrats to all who have had the surgery this month, and good luck to those whose surgery is coming up soon.

It is 10:30am and just a few hours before I got to the hospital. I am going to Palms of Pasadena. Nervous? YES! Scared? YES! Would I stop? NO NO NO!!! I am also excited. My family is so supportive of me. Will post again after surgery
Topic: Thank-you for your Support
I just wanted to say Thank-you to everyone who has given me support. I hope all goes well for everyone. (Pre-ops and Post-ops). My surgery is this Monday. I am nervous yet excited. I am already packed. The hospital is an hour and a half away so I am bring a pillow and PJ's for the ride home and some other small things. I hope I do not forget anything. Yesterday I went out and bought baby food, carnation instant breakfast, protein drinks, a blender, and baby spoons. They say using baby spoons is a good idea so you eat smaller bites. I started my pre-op diet to shrink the liver. I guess I am just about there. So God Bless and Wishing Everyone the Best. Sara

I have the same surgery date, Aug.27th & I cant wait.The time is starting to crawl.The worse part is tomorrow, I start the clear liquid diet until surgery.Sounds a little long to me but if thats what the Dr. wants.The week of the clear liquid diet will probably be harder to me than the surgery itself & after.Well I hope so at least.Seems like its taken forever for the 27th to get here but its finally about here.So good luck to you & take care.

This means only SIX MORE DAYS ON LIQUIDS!!!!! Can hardly wait for mashed potatoes and oatmeal!
Overnighted in hospital, sore, tired, but happy! Went back to work today after ditching Mon. & Tues. Obviously not as young as I think I am -- I really thought I'd hop up off the operating table ready to dance rings around it, but am not recovering quite that fast! Mainly not sleeping well. Went from my comfy waterbed to regular bed, and it's killing me! When I figure out how to roll out of my waterbed without hurting my stomach, things will really improve. Am drinking so much water, I have to visit the bathroom frequently, too.
A bit of advice -- if they say you need to go #2 within 2 days, believe them, don't put it off. I thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room with constipation (how embarrassing!) Sunday night, but the recommended Milk of Magnesia worked!
