Hi Barb...I am 52 years old and having my surgery on August 20th. I am so happy I have been waiting along time for this weight loss tool. i am afraid of something going wrong as well, since I have an 11 year old daughter I am raising alone, but I know when all is done I will be healtier and able to be around for my daughter many years to come, I will be thinking of you, and keep us updated on your progress. Only 5 more days for me!

I want to wish everyone that is having their operation. The best and Good Luck with your recovery. For i myself , is having mine done on August,29th finnaly can't wait.

I'm going to be 50 next week and I think of that now and then, too. But when I think of another twenty years of living like this (and worse) I change my way of thinking pretty quickly. We have grandkids to live for!! I'm going crazy at work - not busy enough right now - but I'm keeping myself busy at home and those hours are flying by. If I could afford to just take the next week off, I would - surgery is the 26th for me. Think we'll make it without screaming or something? I find myself being really quiet and not talking at all or just the opposite - running off at the mouth! I'm sure my coworkers are getting sick of me - I am! 11 MORE DAYS!!

I am getting nervous and worrying about the pain. I don't take narcotic pain meds because I've had bad reactions to them. I have had good luck with Toradol, but usually it is only given for a few days. Anyone have any comments?
