I know how you feel, I feel the same way, but I am also scared not to get the surgery. I saw a guy on a talk show and he said he was scared too, but he felt that if he died that at least he died trying to get healthy. He looked great and was so much healthier. It helps me to read about what other people have gone through. This site is Great. I was scheduled for Oct 15 but they changed the date to August 18th. I will let you know how it is when I get home. I too am scheduled for surgery on the 22nd. And I feel exactly as you - at peace! God has given me a peace that passes ALL understanding concerning the RNY. I have been asked many times if I am nervous - and my "stock" answer is always "ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Why, because it is in His plan! I cannot be nervous when God has placed his arms of mercy around me and given me grace - a gift that I cannot earn. I will be in prayer over the next few days for everyone; even though I cannot call every name individually, God knows us all individually and that's what matters. I wish God's grace, mercy, peace and healing powers to all the August WLS members. Be blessed in the Lord!

Hi Pam, I having my surgery also on 8/27. It is just around the corner. I will add you to my pray list for that morning. I hope your sugery is successful and a speedy recovery. So, you can go and purchase new clothes. I looking forward to that. No more Lane Bryant, Avenue .. etc. I am also nervous. I got my finally thumbs up from my Primary Care Dr. ( Pre-op Physical) I am all set to go. Take care and ((((24/7))))

AND FEELIN REALLY GOOD....JUST TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME...I MADE THE MISTAKE WHEN I CAME HOME OF THINKING I SHOULD BE LOSING FASTER...BUT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT....JUST DO WHAT THEY TELL YOU AND YOU`LL DO GREAT....GOOD LUCK I`LL BE THINKING OF YOU....LISA MATTHEWS
