Hi Melissa,
I am having surgery the same day as you!! WOW. I am really nervous. I went for my visit with my surgeon today and it is very real to me now. How about you... are you nervous? I went last Monday and had my pre op. That believe it or not wasn't so bad. The closer I get I am feeling major butterflies... I've never had surgery. I'm not that nervous about the lifestyle change I'm just nervous about having surgery. Well I guess am am a little nervous about the changes, but I am ready for that...I can't believe it just a little over a week left... can you believe it????

has anyone had to be on a liquid diet one week before surgery? i start mine in the am. i am on full li****il sat and then to clear liq til the night before surgery. i have never heard of this before. if you have...how did you cope? thanks

I'm going to have my surgury on August 19th and I have yet to have an angel. I have had only a couple of people e-mail me from which they are going to use the same surgeon. Can anyone tell me how to find another person that is having surgery on the same day or close to it? Or maybe someone that would like to chat about changes that accure after surgery.

I am soooo excited to finally be approved and have a surgery date. People ask me if I am nervous and all I can tell them is "I have waited for this moment for so long and researched it for so long - all I am nervous about is not having enough money to buy new clothes!" haha!

I am scheduled for lap RnY on 8/12/03...only about 36 hrs away and I am not even nervous yet! I have waited for this day for a long time and fought my insurance company for 5 weeks and 2 appeals to get to this point. I think the calm I am feeling is because I know this is so right for me at this point in my life.

You will be fine. Trust God...faith is what moves God. He has not allowed you thus far to leave you. I pray God blesses you throughout your surgery and direct and guide the surgeons hands. I pray that God comfort your soul, give you peace and comfort your children and family. My surgery is aug 27, please keep me in your prayers. Peace and blessings.
