Topic: Date scheduled August 26th with Mr Pollard!
Hi everyone,
firstly it is an honour to be here in this community amongst such lovely people 
I have a surgery date on the 26th August ..... I am really looking forward to it and to the rest of my life as a person who is not totally controlled by food and obesity.
I am scared a little as I have a heart condition, a pacemaker and apnea and I am 29 but I HAVE FAITH IN GOD who has seen me this far. God won't let me down now!!!! He has a plan for my life!
The surgeon is the best in Europe for the RNY procedure and I will be at the BUPA Hospital in Roundhay Leeds. I live in the UK.
There is not a great deal of information or support in the UK for this WLS so please feel very welcome to get in touch with me and share your experiences with me. I am delighted to be a part of this community now.

Missy Good Luck in your surgery! I am having the op on the 26th August just a few days after yours.

I am looking forward to my surgery on the 26th August! And I would love to hear of your experiences when you are a post op too

I'm very excited and nervous at the same time. I'm sitting here at the computer and have been since 3:35 because I can't sleep. I guess I'm like the children when they know that they are about to go on a trip or it's the night before Christmas. It has been a long time coming and I'm glad about it. I am trusting God to bring me out Victorious. I will be the first patient Monday morning. I will be leaving my house around 4:45 a.m.

What an emotional roller coaster!! Good luck and I will pray for you. Getting nervous here too. My date is the 20th. We are all with you!!

I feel with you! I had an endoscopy today because I tested positive for H-P bacteria. Luckily I did not have one so it is still a go on the 20th! Big Hug to all of us. Yes I am scared too!!! Do I really want to do this? Can I do this?

I can relate! When I got my date I was so happy for about two seconds and then my heart dropped and I got scared for the first time! I'm having mine on the 20th we'll go throught this together! God is with us all! So are we!! Take Care

and boy, am i getting nervous! I wasn't nervous at first. But now as it's getting to be more of a reality, I feel like crying and laughing and shouting and dancing and hiding all at the same time! I can't wait to be on the losing side! I have been with this weight for some time and am glad that i can say BYE to it for good! I'm praying for those who go under before me and after me, that God will protect us and guide our surgeons during our operation! Godspeed to all! /patricia
