Hi out there in computer land.,. how is everyone? I am now counting down the days.. my surgery is the 14th of august and it is gettgin closer and closer. i had to go to the dertermatoligist for a rash on my tummy and it scared me that i would not get the surgery.. i have been working on this for almost a year.. the closer it gets the scarder i get . is this normal?

Julie - I live in Chicago and saw your message. I know how you feel to wait for the surgery. I waited since Feb 2003 for my date in August 27, 2003. The time drags by at first. But as the days go by it will be here sooner than you think. Just keep busy. It seems it far away, but it is actually around the coorner. Just remember to get the items you will need after surgery in the house prior to your date, check out the different protien drinks. Check out GNC they have sample packages you can purchase of different flavors. I already have one shelf in the kitchen with things I will be using after surgery. take care and ((24/7)) mary

Hey Kelly, I know how you feel. This is a very big step for us! My date is also Aug 21st. I'm going through some kind of surreal period. Wondering if I'm doing the right thing, thinking about pain afterwards, if I can actually do what I'm suppose to do. But all in all, I have to believe God led me here, and He'll see me through. We'll be fine!!!! I'll say a prayer for you and you for me,, ok?! Remember, THINK POSITIVE!!

I really relate to what you posted. It is quite a journey to get to this point. However, the most amazing and wonderful part of our journey is yet to come. Best wishes on the 18th for an uneventful surgery, speedy recovery and most of all for a wonderful journey through your new life.
