I am 5'10'' and my surgeon's goal for me is 170 but my personal goal is 160 which would mean to reach my surgeon's goal I would need to lose another 40 pounds and 50 pounds to reach my personal goal. I began this journey at 355 with a pre-op weight of 340 so am happy of how I have done so far but still want to lose more to get into the normal range. Best of luck to everyone on reaching their goal. Ginny M 8/4/04

Denise I'm so sorry your still having trouble. You have been thur a lot. I have noticed stress causes stomach distress in me also and pork is very painful but everything else is ok. I take Pepcid Complete every morning before I eat anything and that works for me. I also have had trouble with depression and talked with my PCP and am taking Welbutrin twice daily for six months. I guess with your tummy troubles you can't get in your protein daily. I use the Unjury and mix with water and it doesn't bother my tummy and I tried a lot !! Keep your chin up!! Oh and I just got off a slump in weight loss of 3 wks, it will happen !! I hope you feel better soon !!! Linda

Hi Lisa I also had surgery on Friday the 13th Freaked me out a little at first but I'm not a superstitious person and everything went perfectly so now I consider it my lucky day! I was on a plateau for a while, it did break but I'm losing VERY S L O W L Y now! I'm about 5'5 and I started out at 360 lbs. and when I weighed yesterday morning I was at 222 for a loss of 138 lbs. But I'm like you, I've gotten much smaller on top but it seems like this stomach isn't going anywhere! I've got to get my butt to the gym!! My latest wow moment is realizing that I'm only 7 lbs. away from the weight on my driver's license being correct and it wasn't even true when I put it on my permit when I was 15 which was 10 years ago! I mean I'm smaller than when I was 15! That just blows my mind! Okay, well I suppose I've rambled long enough! Shelley -138 360/222/150 ???

Hi Norma.....your not the only one who has been away from the board, I am guilty as charged! Seems like we are more active between the "NEW" us and the weather getting better. As of today, I have lost 100 pounds and 97 inches. I know many of you have lost more than me, and were lighter to start, BUT, I am slow and steady. I have not hit a plateau as of yet, and that in itself says alot about how I am shedding the weight. Seems like my body likes what I am doing, and rewards me by not plateauing...lol I am amazed at how good I feel. I want to do things, I want to be a part of things, I want to live again, and I am! Have a great day! Susan 300/200/160

I have 45 pounds left to reach my surgeon's goal. At one time, I though I wanted to take it a little further and get to my old high-school weight of 135, but I think that may be too skinny for my 5'9", large-boned frame. I will be satisfied at reaching (and staying at) 160. ~Laura 286/205/160
