Thanks for being so sweet! I will tell you the truth. Right now i sit here and wonder how awful my life was before. I always sat at home and did nothing, i could barely walk. i took naps daily, and could not even stand long enough to do dishes. My life now is the total opposite. I am so happy to be who i am today, God is so good. By the way, this pic was in July.....hopefully i will get a new one on soon. Can't wait to see your before and after pics. Hugs Linda

Hi Sunny I think you're at a good weight right now. Remember that when you get that extra skin off there will be a few pounds right there. So just keep your head up, you've done a wonderful job. Hugs Linda

Hi roxanne- you really need to read my profile. I have had a terrible time with ulcers and never suffered with them prior to the surgery. I have done each and eveything my surgeon has told me to do. I have continued pain, nausea and vomiting ever since my last surgery. I have an appointment at Cleveland Clinic for a second opinion as to what to do to make me feel better. If you get a chance take a look at my email. Hugs- Charla

Sunny, then you are probably weight less than what the scale says. Hopefully your problem will be solved once you have the surgery. Don't be hard on yourself. I have thought of taking a shower with a shirt and shorts. I don't like seeing my excess skin either. When I see it I still feel I am overweight. Good luck and keep in touch.

Alma, I was born in Mexico. I have been living in California since I was 2 years old. You want to hear something funny? I have never been good eating chili. Ever since the surgery I love eating chili. I go to Trader Joes Store and buy unsalted baked chips. Chips and hot salsa (hay caramba!). I tell my doctor that the salsa cleans my stomach. He says ok, but not to over do it. What is your nationality?

Sunny, nice to read a post from you. I have to agree with the other ladies. You already look great. If I can give a comment I would like to say that when we first start losing weight after surgery there is a natural high. Then the weight lose start slowing down. Soon, it hardly moves for some. I believe our goals have to change. Some still need to lose, others have to work on maintaining the weight. Have you talked to your doctor. Good look in what you decide to do.

Sunny, I know many times we don't feel like we have something to say. I have writen more post this month so far than what I had written since my surgery. Just like you, I check the board often. I say one thing, if we have some time from our hectic schedule why not write something. Be spontaneous (sorry if I wrote it wrong) talk about anything. Maybe you can post a joke or something funny that happen to you or you saw. Any comment or question. I will share something funny with you and everyone that reads it. I went to a diner for lunch that I had not visited in almost 2 years. I stoped going because I was so obese I couldn't find a booth I could fit. One of the waitress recognized me and her eyes almost popped out! She asked me if I was ill. I have no problem telling people about my surgery, but I don't like saying to people I really don't know. So, she asked me how I did it. I said with a very expensive diet and a celebrity personal trainer that takes my entire work paycheck. Let us know if you have reached 120 pounds. I saw pictures of you on your website and you look good. Good luck and hope to hear from you time to time.

Alma, hopefully we can get this board on drive. It will be nice to read a post from you. I have noticed that most of the postings are done by woman. We also need input by the men. I know I would be the luckiest man in the world by receiving messages by all you great looking woman. But, we are all a family that has gone through physical and emotional problems because of our weight. August 2004 message board is special because we were all reborn with our surgery. I will try to put my pictures soon. For many years I couldn't see myself in the mirror or take pictures. Even today I am not used to it. Let us know when you lose those last 10 pounds. We will be waiting to read your post when you have time.
