Linda, you look great. Have you felt like the person in the picture before the surgery is not the same as the one today? It is another person. I know life is hectic for for all of us. Now we have lots us energy to carry us through the day. Just let us know you are out there. Hope to see new pictures of you when you have plastic surgery. Good luck and keep writing.

Thank you. All I ask is that if you have some time to read the message board, why not give some input. I am guilty of many times reading the board and not writing anything. Just don't forget us. Good luck and keep on being you.

Hi Louis I too have noticed the board being slow lately and would like to hear more. I also have a hectic life, but promise to check the boards and respond if it's something i can help with. I started out at 360 and am currently at 170. I'm 5'3, but big boned so can't lose too much more. Hopefully i'll be getting my plastics done soon and can get rid of this skin and this turkey neck. Thanks for posting. Hugs Linda

Hi Sunny, Personally, I am surprised to see that you want to lose more! You are a tiny little thing! But I do understand the whole number game, wanting to see a certain number on the scale! I was determined to see 128 and when I hit 130, I was not satisfied because I wanted 128. Even though it was only 2 lbs, I didn't care...I wanted to see that number. I have since went past that, and have a new weight range, but I completely understand where you are coming from. I would cut your breads out for a week; no white flour at all. Drink water until it comes out your ears and limit your salt. Eat nothing after 7:00 p.m. With this, you should see a few lbs gone. Or, to rid of those last few pounds, try the cabbage soup diet. Not good for a lot of weight to lose but for a few like this, it would work, I'm sure. Keep in mind though, your body is so small that it may not want to rid those pounds and will do whatever it takes to stay put......Is there anyway you would reconsider your goal weight? I mean, you look amazing and what will those 5 lbs do besides give you the number you have in your head? As I said, I do understand so I am not judging you, but I just wanted to share my perspective with you... You look great! Hugs, Denise

Hi there, Alma! Sweetie, I totally understand where you are coming from. I also went through a period when all I heard was horror stories, and I was thinking, "My God....I am going to die from hacking my body like this!" So, even though I didn't have regrets, I was scared that I was going to die or get really sick. Even to this day sometimes, I wonder if by having the surgery, I screwed my system up. It is scary when I stop and think about it. I totally understand where you are coming from on that. And I had an awesome support group that was very accessible. We met all the time. I had many good friends who had the surgery. So my support system was there, Thank God! I can't imagine going through it without that in place. You must have been a wreck! I don't blame you for have been scared to death. I would have been as well. I would suggest that you keep coming to the boards and post as many messages as you need to; if you have an questions, thoughts, concerns, etc, post away! This is like an online support group meeting, if you think about it! I would love to be an online buddy for you if you ever need to chat! I really would. Don't hesitate to e-mail me and maybe we can exchange numbers and chat sometime. I think we have a lot in common in terms of age, having WLS, etc....I can relate to a lot of what you are saying. Hope to chat with you soon! Hugs, Denise [email protected]

Hi Alma, Sorry it took me so long to reply, I have been away all weekend and just now got online. Anyway, thank you for your sweet compliments! I am just under 5'3, more like 5'2 and a half. I really wish I was a couple inches taller! It is hell trying to find pants that fit. I always have to buy petite pants and as such, have to go to the misses section mainly. Problem there is, everything is too big. The junior sizes fit me best but are always too long....it sucks! But hey....I would rather have them too big than too small, right? LOL You really look gorgeous, Alma! COngrats girl! Hugs, Denise
