Hello all you August 30th one year graduates! and hello to those who are near graduation. Can you believe it has been one year already....what a ride! I think this would be a good time to post our highs and lows. Time to get out the tape measures and scales, reveal the vitamin regimen we are on, how we supplement our protein, and what a normal day of food comsumption is for us. Also, how the size of our clothes changed, and who is interested in reconstructive surgery, and what body parts. We can also give out "BEST" WoW moment. Here is something we did a while back, which would be fun to do again. 1). Pre op weight 2). Goal weight 3). Current weight loss 4). Total weight to lose (#1 minus #2) 5). Precent of weight loss (#3 divided by #4) ***and let's add*** 6). Total inches shed to date (I didn't want to say lost, because when you lose something you want to find it, and I surely don't want to find what is gone from me... You all have a great day, and I will see you all tomorrow with my stats! Susan WNY

Topic: I hope you're still out there
Hi Everyone, With us all being a year out I've noticed a slowing down of people posting. To be honest I think I need support now more than before. So I hope everyone doesn't disappear. I am very happy with my weight loss and although I haven't met my weight goals yet (Doctors or mine) I am healthy now and grateful for where I have come from. But a little scared too. This is the time when there can be a lot of identity confusion issues comming up. I see pictures of my self before WLS and how I look now when I look in the mirror and it is a little scary. I don't know what I expected. What about you? What are some of your fears? Anyway, I'm down 115 lbs all my vital signs are good so I am happy to be where I am. But I would love to hear from some of you and know how you are doing. Take Care K. Reed

I too was almost done with the day when I go its been 1yr since my surgery. I thought I would feel something more than I did. But I didn't. I have pretty much met my goal of 135-140 from wearing a 3x to a 6-8 in pants and a 10 in dress's I could all day. Yes I would do it all over again. Keep up the good luck and lets all keep incourging (sp) each other. Ruthy

Topic: tummy tuck info
Hi everyone I was told today by a friend that you can get a tummy tuck for free at certain burn clinics if you donate the skin. I have been trying to find info on it and have failed so far she is suppose to get me the info. But thought I would post in the mean time to see if any of you have heard of this. I think it would be great to be able to help someone else. I really want my own surgeant to do my surgery but if I can donate that skin I would love it. I have been given a second chance why not help someone else with a second chance. I will update with info as I recieve it . I imagine most of you would love to do it also. Love ya Brenda

Congrats, I am a 8/23/05er too. I didn't log on on the day either. Don't know where my head was. I am very grateful for where I've come so far. I'm excited about where we are going. Best wishes to you. K. 311/196/145

Congratulations on getting your PS started! After our bodies go thru such a dramatic change, i think its a must, but not always obtainable. I'll be seeing my PCP tomorrow and see if he can send me to a network plastic surgeon and see (wishing on all my lucky stars!) that ANYTHING gets covered. I know some tummytucks get covered if you've lost more than 100lbs, but will see what the doc has to say about it first. I definitely need a tummy tuck, my thighs are a bit yucky and just my breasts and lose skin under my arms. I'll survive if I don't get it done, but i want it dammit! hehe. Again, congrats on your new transformation and let us know how its going

Do you know you could hit me on the head with a frying pan, I didn't even celebrate my 1 year Anniversary of my Gastric Bypass, That SUCKS But on a brighter note!! WHOOP I LOST 135 GIVE OR TAKE A FEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not believe 1 year ago I was a fatty Mc fatty, (don't mean to offend ANYONE) but I was HUGE I can not believe how much I have lost and How wonderful I look and feel! goodness! I am proud of myself and only I can really truly know how proud I am of myself, No one is proud of me like I am. People ask me if I would do it again, and I tell them without a breath, ''In a heartbeat'' Because I would, I would go under the knife 30000000000 more times to achieve this feeling and this look. I don't care if I don't loose another pound as long as I keep up my exerise and vitimins and energy! I would be a happy 5'8 180 pound girl! My man can pick me up and feel my bones, I am happy! Thanks for all your support over this time I love you all! Rachael 315/180?1?? RNY-08/23/2004
