Thanks Sue, I'm going to take this time to catch up on reading, which is something I rarely get to do anymore. I have a week of training to go to the last week of July, so reading now will prepare me for that week. Shedding a positive light on this will help alot, but it's hard. The not driving part is the worse, especially since we just bought a second car the week before! A pretty burgundy Malibu, that rides like a dream. I'm going by memory now, since my husband is now driving it mostly Grace

Topic: RE: Bored with cooking
Wow, I am really impressed with the ideas you got back to your post! I am going to copy several of them! I have to admit I don't cook complicated meals most of the time either. I like to grill meat outside, and have that on the weekends, or make extra to eat during the week. Carne Asada meat, mexican style marinated thin steaks are my favorite. Out here in California you buy it pre-marinated and just throw it on the grill. I also like the light laughing cow cheese spread on Ak Mak crackers or light toast for lunch with half an apple. If you like tuna or are craving it, you can always mix some with a tiny bit of light mayo and some chopped celery and spread it open face on light toast (sara lee deliteful) and even melt a piece of kraft free american cheese on it for an open face tuna melt. I do the same thing with an over-medium egg on a piece of the light toast and a piece of kraft free cheese melted over the top. A sandwich and a pickle are one of my favorite lunches. or a cup of soup with a few bites of sandwich. yum. Also low carb lean cuisine type stuff, usually meat and veggie ones. Looking forward to hearing even more ideas. Hope you're feeling good Tina Love, Sue

I was thinking about this also the other day. I can hardly believe how much different my life is. It feels like a dream come true. I read this interesting article about the changes that this surgery is creating for people, and how their are so few forms of true wish fulfillment in this world, and this is one of them... akin to winning the lottery or getting an NBA contract! Getting dressed has become a pleasure instead of a nightmare. I wake up and think about all the things I will get done if I have the time, instead of if I have the energy. My daughter stole a top from MY closet today! Incredible what has changed in such a short time. I'm happy for your family as well, Dawn and EVERYONE! ~Sue

Oh Grace! Sorry about your broken foot! Hopefully you'll burn more calories just lugging that boot around for eight weeks and make up for your decreased ability to exercise. Not being able to drive is rough! Take care and I hope you heal fast and well! Love, Sue

So, after a plateau that lasted almost a whole month, I start dropping weight, then guess what? I break my right foot! I'm sitting here in a moon boot (up to my knee), and I'll be wearing it for the next eight weeks. This cuts down on the exercising I can do, not to mention I can't drive anywhere on my own. I'm also reviewing my eating habits again, since I don't want to eat more than my body will burn, right? I'm eating the heavier meals in the morning, and drinking shakes in the evening (of course I eat a Power Crunch bar for a snack). Just venting. Grace

Topic: RE: What does your food journal look like?
I am about the same as you. My food intake is about the same and I only lose about one week per month. I have decided as long as I keep losing than I will just go with it. I am ready to start taking some protein shakes again maybe one per day that seems to help. I have lost 80 lbs so far. I would like for it to be more but I'll take what I can get. Good Luck Tina
