There's one right next to where I work. I eat there from time to time and have since January or so. In fact, I had one crunchy taco for dinner tonight as we were on the road home from a trip. Also, TACOBELL.COM is a great place to go to for their nutrition guide online. Take Care-KT

I have been taking sugar-free Citrucel everyday. It seems to help with my constipation. Every now and then I have to take a laxative, but I don't like to. When I do, I try to use either a chewable like ex-lax, or there's some kind called Fleet where you put drops in some water and drink it. Also, you can try eating prunes, or some other kind of fruit. Raisin bran or some other high bran, high fiber cereal might also help. Good luck!!!

Topic: RE: Today is my 8 month anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!1
Hon, My surgery was on the 20th, and I've only lost 88 pounds. I've been flucuating between 270 and 275 for the last month, and to top it off, I broke my foot on Tuesday while bass fishing, which puts me out of commission for at least two weeks for regular activities, and even longer for exercise (I can't even get on the gazelle). I would say that 130 pounds in eight months is more than something to be excited about, but a blessing. Don't beat yourself up. Be happy. Trust me, it's a good number. Grace

Topic: RE: Water Loading...
Waterloading really helps after the six month mark to attack the munchies, but it also helps to get a really good cleansing of the body. I try to do it about once a week, just to clean myself out and really hydrate myself. I also do it before I know I'm going in for blood tests (I have crappy veins, and the water plumps them up). I simply say to myself that "today I'm going to drink six bottles of 16.9oz of water instead of four," and the have it before eating a meal (two bottles before a meal). Cuts down on how much I eat. Topic: Repost: GAS!!
Ok for the earlier post that I posted?? Well first of all I want to say thank you for all the replies that I received. I couldn't bear th pain any longer and made a visit to the ER yesterday evening. After X-rays, I am so thankful that there was NOT a blockage or stricture.. Only poop built up. I was instructed to use 1 FLEETS enima daily for 3 days straight and see if that takes care of the problem. Hope that anyone that has or has had or might have this problem finds this info useful. Thanks again, Jo 444/414/288 -151

Taco Bell is about the only fast food I can eat and I treat myself to it once every 2 weeks. Three taco shells alone have only 20 carbs so one with the fixings wouldn't be that bad. I prefer a small order of the nachos and eat half of that with a half order of refried beans. I love going to Mexican restaraunts as well. It is much easier to split a meal with someone as the portions are so huge. So splurge and have fun, just don't go overboard. Have a good trip! Doreen

Marianne, I think that the hard tacos are alright to eat. I have eaten them before. But I can only eat one hard taco, two would be too much. Lynn J., lap RNY 9/29/04 -118 lbs.

I can totally relate to what you posted. I seem to be gassy all the time and the constipation is a constant battle. I take the colace almost daily, but have resorted to taking ex-lax at least once a week to really clean myself out and feel half-normal. I've tried all types of fiber powders and pills, but none have worked for me thus far. Constipation is horrible, but at least it's private. The gas is the biggest problem for me because there's usually no warning and there's no guarantee that it will be silent and non-toxic! I'll be watching your post to see if anyone can offer any "fixes" for these problems.

Topic: Hello again!
Hi everyone I haven't posted or even come to the site in quite some time now. I have been extremely busy and just havent had the time but I thought I would pop in and see how everyone is doing and update you guys on myself...if you still care that is..lol. Well I have lost a total of 89 lbs. I'm now wearing size 6's and purchased my first size 4's (they are stretchy so they dont really count...lol) but they are 4's none the less. I have been on a stall or maybe finally a plataeu (sp?) for over a month now. At my 6 month checkup the doctor had said if I stop losing for a month to two months then I'm probally done. This kind of dissapoints me because my ultimate goal is 138 and I'm at 149 now. Just 11 lbs to go and I'm gonna stop? My doctors goal was 150 so he is happy but I really want to get to 138!!! I have not been exercising in the last month or so and I find myself grazing and eating things I know I shouldnt. So it's my own fault that I'm not losing anymore. Is anyone else having the same problems? If I do stop here I would be ok with it....it sure beats the 22-24's I was wearing before.....but hopefully you guys understand where I'm coming from on the goal. Don't get me wrong I am thrilled with the weight loss this far and would'nt trade it for anything in the world but I'm just feeling discouraged today. The next thing for me is to check into a tummy tuck. Actually I need a whole body lift....lol. I have wings and my stomach looks terrible without clothes on. I still have a pooch that I notice but other people say I'm crazy? My thighs are a whole nother story...lol. Are you all having the same issues? I have really missed reading everyone's posts and having support from people that understand exactly what this feels like. Please respond and let me know that I'm not going crazy (or if you think I am thats ok too...lol) Keep on Keepin on. love ya'll, Rebecca 238/149/138 Hopefully

Topic: Getting a Bite to eat in the MALL
Hi Everyone Hope you are all enjoying this holiday weekend so far. This afternoon hubby, my daughter and I went walking around the mall. We decided to have a bite to eat for lunch so I chose to have two hard taco's from Taco Bell. I figured this would be the lesser of all evils and I thought it would even be considered somewhat healthy. Just wondering what your thoughts are on the Taco's. Please don't say I should have had a salad--which I know I could have--but did not feel like taking most of it home along with the fact that salads sometimes bother my pouch. I am curious what you all think because at the end of June my girlfriend and I are going away for a week and we will be eating our meals out and I thought that the Taco choice might be good for when I am away too. Thanks Marianne
