I rejoined but found that I wasn't able to follow the program because their requirements were too much for my stomach to deal and I wasn't able to get in all the food requirements. In the end I decided to get a group from work together and we weigh once a week and get together at lunch to support each other. I also find that reading the posts here keeps me motivated. Hope WW works for you. Good luck.

I do it a lot. It really helps when you are having a munchy, hungry type day or just know you are going to be faced with too many food choices. If you go the the library part of the web site and enter it in the search area you will get lots of info about it. It also assures you of getting in all your water for the day lol. I is only suggested if you are at least 6 months out and I guess that is about when I began playing with it. I have a new picture from Mother's Day that I sent in and hope shows up soon!! This one is still from October!!

I noticed Delores mentioned water loading in the last post. I was glad b/c it reminded me that I have been meaning to ask this board questions on it. I had never heard of water loading until I read about it on this site. I do find it helpful, but was wondering what anyone else knows about it. My doc never told me about it, and I never read any books on it while I was researching this surgery. However, I hear it is a must for long-term success... What do you all think or know on the subject???? Enlighten Me!! Katie

If it works for your great. I would rather have a dietician that was well educated in the rules of the pouch and My specific needs post op. Remember you are different after the surgery. and the rules of the pouch are you main guilelines. Wishing you well . Exercise is a must and water loading is a must. Keep us posted and Best of luck Dolores

I think there is NO shame in joining weigh****chers. It's just a way of maintenance. When my hubby and I have kids I will only try to gain what is necessary for the baby's health, but afterward if the weight isn't coming back off, I will definitely look in weigh****chers or something like that.. Although, it would seem that if we continue the rules of the 'tool' it should work right, but I'll jump off that bridge when I get there! Good luck ladies!! Keep us posted! -KT

I haven't joined but I plan on it. I have in the past but this time will be different. I want to join so that I can help keep myself on a healthy eating path. I really don't think i am going ot discuss my weight loss surgery with the people there cause I don't want to hear people tell me I shouldn't be there or what ever. I am not going to lose weight I would be going to help keep it off properly. Good for you for joining. Shannon

Dear Leslie, I am more of a lurker than a poster on this website. Having just read your post, I am truly sorry that you are going through this pain. I can not imagine your situation, but my heart goes out to you. As a recommendation to use in conjunction with your physician supervised treatments, has anyone mentioned massage therapy? I am a massage therapist and have worked on a number of clients who have osteoarthritis (although they are using a successful drug treatment that has slowed the progress of their disease) and fibromyalgia. Massage can be particularly successful for those with fibromyalgia. I would recommend you speak with your physician about this before you receive a massage - and you'll probably need a letter of permission before you could receive one. If you and your doctor think it could be beneficial, you'll need to look for someone that is Nationally Certified and licensed in your state (if they license in your state) and probably someone who's been in practice for a few years. If you have any other questions about massage therapy, please feel free to contact me. In the mean time, I have you in my prayers. Have a good Sunday, Tracey
