LEslie, Take one day at a time, Enjoy this moment. This is really all we have. Ypu are in my prayers and hopefully you RA andMS will slow down. Be positive and I know it is hard but your body will fight the illnesses better if not stress. Please keep us posted and know we care and appreciate how bothersome this problem is BIG Huges Dolores

Topic: OMG I have worn the wrong pants!!!
Yesterday I realized I needed to start drinking more water if I wanted to get over this plateau!!! So I finished off a 50 oz bottle of water during work and continured drinking into the evening. And sure enough I dropped a pound this morning- was what I needed to keep it up. Well yesterday I wore a dress (don't wear pantyhose in Hawaii) so it was very easy going to the bathroom all day long (not to forget the extra exercise you get going up and down the stairs all day to the bathroom)!!! Well just a few minutes ago I jumped up- went to the bathroom and realized when I got in the stall that I am wearing not only zipper pants (which I wouldn't of been able to wear 126 pounds ago) but pants with not one but TWO buttons (one on the inside and one on the out)- now when I have to go I need to go NOW!!! and I can tell by the end of the day one of two things is going to happen- either I am going to accidently rip off the inside button or leave it undone on purpose.... So my advice is "wear a dress when you start up a drinking routine"!!!! Thought I would share- Victoria

Thanks Sue. ((( HUGS ))) Do you know how high of a dosage your mom takes? I am curious. The doc said next month we'd start out at 5mg everyday, and then we'd increase it as necessary. He did seem really concerned about getting my pain under control.

((((LESLIE))))) major hugs sent your way! I'm sorry you had to receive such difficult news about your health like this, but I'm encouraged that you've found positive points to lift your spirits this morning. As far as the steroids, my mom was on tons of them and she did swell up some at first, but it settled down a lot after the initial reaction. She did Atkins and was able to lose a lot of weight even while on steroids. Recently, they've been able to taper off her dosage a bit over time and that has helped, but she will be taking these drugs for the rest of her life. (she is a transplant patient) The pain you are dealing with sucks, and I just hope they can make advances with this stuff that can help you soon. You've been so supportive to all of us here each time we've faced health issues and I appreciate that so much. I hope we can return the favor to you. I'm so glad you are with a great doctor now, that will make all the difference for you. Just remember that we are here for you if you ever need to vent or talk. I hope the Social Security benefits can ease your stress level a bit and you can focus on your health and your kids. God bless you Love, Sue
