I went from an 8 1/2 W - 9 to a good 8. I went shopping last week and bought 5 yes count them FIVE pair of shoes. Sears had a great sale... got some elevator sandals, some with a kickly little heel, got some ankle boots for $12!!! real leather!!! I even bought shoes that I have absolutely nothing to wear them with.. guess that means more shopping!!!! God I love retail therapy!

my surgery date was 9/15. i was 336 at my highest when i began this journey exactly one year ago (memorial day weekend 2004!). i was 325 at surgery and am 209 today. that's 116 #'s down from my surgery date. i have lots and lots of small plateaus. my goal at surgery was to get to 200 but i've revised that and would like to get to 160. do you think that 50 more pounds are pretty doable over the next 10 months. i hope so! my next short-term goal is to get to 199 by my 50th birthday on july 2nd! i've gone from a 30/32 pant to 14W pant, and the same size top to a misses xl or large top! gone from a wide shoe to 'b' width (still 10 1/2). from 52 bra to 44 or 46. still don't know my correct underwear size! none of my rings fit and i don't want them sized down until i stop losing so i don't look like i'm married! i have some beautiful bracelets i had custom-made over 15 years ago because of my large hands/wrists and they are sitting in the drawer until i can get everything sized down. for mother's day, my 2 year old son (!) gave me a 7" heart charm bracelet. i can buy bangles and just slip them on. what a great feeling! susan

WOW Jo !!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS !!!!! How excited you must be !!!!! I'm not sure if its me your rembering but I got PG in Jan but sadly the baby stoped growing at 6 weeks and I had to do a D&C at 8 weeks. But I am hopeing to be joining you soon !!!!!
