Topic: Celebrating 7 months & a Wow moment
Well on 4/29 I "celebrated" 7 months but it wasn't entirely happy because I was in a 5 week stall and though I've had mini-stalls this one was big and I was kinda "deppressed". But as of today the scale moved a bit today & I went to MGM Studios and was ready the for Rocking Rollercoaster (AeroSmith) and when I got close to getting on..I had that thought - "will i fit?" but what was i thinking? I mean I had a 86 lb loss, right - but still the thought came. What was kewl was that when I sat in the seat and lowered the head-bar I felt REALLY excited because not only did it come down all the way I still had about 1 1/2 inch left of space and pulled it down further however it bounced back to the original last click - and it was great feeling having that extra space. I was so excited that I screamed outa happiness during the ride and went again!! So it ended on a happy note!

Christina,
I am glad you posted and let us know how it is going! I think your bald head looks good on your" skinny" "pretty face"!
Hang in there! Congratulate Eric for me. It might take you a little longer but don't give up! You will conquer all!

So, I haven't posted in a while... Two sessions of chemo down, two to go. I'm did better than I thought I would on the second run. The new medication had a lot less side effects. My main battle was with constipation (side effect) - I was told to eat more fiber, but that means more carbs! The balance between cancer/chemo and bariatrics is very difficult to deal with. They don't want me loosing weight, but I do. They say I'm loosing to fast and I say not fast enough! Ugh!
So big news: Eric is under 200!!!!!
It was so cool!
320 to 197 in 7 months. The other cool news is that I'm no longer a "Just My Size" girl! I purchased regular 16P (not 16 woman's) jeans. The skin is a bit annoying, but they buttoned and zipped just fine and I could still breath. So although weight loss for me has slowed, my body is still changing size (must be the skin shrinking?).
So.. whatcha think of my bald head???

Topic: RE: poll: what are your favorite foods these days?
I just made the Carb Monitor Chocolate Chip cookies last night. If you make them, use a good spatula and just keep folding until the dough is right. It was really weird and they cooked flat.. but tasted just fine. I'd buy them again, but not for a long while... until we just can take it anymore.

Topic: Leaving Home!
Ha Ha not for good, just for the weekend. My family along with my in-laws are going up to Cortland this morning for my Nephew's First Communion Sunday. Instead of packing for babies I had to pack food to bring for myself in a cooler. Since we will be stopping for lunch, and since it will probably be "Kids Choice" I packed some cottage cheese, watermelon, cantelope, grapes, protein powder, milk, protein bars, pretzel sticks, popcorn, water, crystal light, yogurt, string cheese, egg beaters which should take me through the weekend. I am set, you think? Just hope I don't experiment with non healthy food at the party. Will be back Monday night, so I will let you all know how I made out.
Hugs
Marianne

1.Chocolate unjury with skim milk(I drink 3 a day!)
2.yogurt. Right now I am into pina colada flavor. It has chunks of pineapple and a little coconut in it.
3. Eskimo pie ice cream bars with no sugar added!
4.hazlenut decaf coffee from Starbucks (with splenda and french vanilla creamer) I have one 6 days a week right after I work out at the gym!
I should be saying chicken or fish but that would be a lie. I can't really stand eggs anymore either!
Lost 5 more lbs last week! Size 12!

Katie -
Thanks so much for the support, it helps ALOT! I agree, travelling is a challenge. I went to a wedding in NJ weekend before last and did just OK foodwise, didn't gain but didn't lose either. And I drank ALOT . . . I was a very BAD girl, I drank white russians, oh my gosh, they were too delicious for words. I rationalized that at least I was getting my Calcium and Vitamin D, LOL!!! So I was lucky not to gain that weekend!
You sound determined and have done so well so far, keep going girl! We will reach our goals!
And I would love to have you and your family for Passover next year, seriously! I think it's April 12, 2006, or thereabouts. If you can come to Gaithersburg, Maryland, you are welcome to join us! And I will issue that invitation to anyone on this board: Any of my 9/04 weight loss buddies are welcome to come for Passover next April. It's during our school system's spring break, probably yours too, so you can combine it with a trip to DC to see the Cherry Blossoms and Smithsonian Museums, etc. I'll rent a hall if I have to! It's considered a "mitzvah" (good deed) to have new friends at the sedar table!
Thanks for your sweet words about the camping trip! It's supposed to rain all weekend so I'm hoping my daughter will someday think back and appreciate her mom taking her and her friends to the latrine with the spiders and snakes at 2 am in the pouring rain, HAHA! Actually I'm thinking of imposing a rule for my group of girls, NO LIQUIDS AFTER 4 pm! Would that be child abuse???
Katie, thanks again for your support, it's comforting to know I am not alone! Hugs, Sandy 268/164/166/136
