Go Manda!!! Good for you!!! I'm in the process of waiting for my insurance to approve/deny my TT and BR. I am a 42F and I can't take it anymore!!! I was told before that I needed a reduction and have it in my med file, but the weight loss made my doc adamant about it. She hadn't seen me when I went in for surgery bc she was on maternity leave so when I went for my yearly check up, she was amazed to see me and is more than willing to help me get both surgeries. I wish you the best of luck

Good luck Sandy. I know you can do it. I have 10 lbs left till goal and I'm fighting to get them off right now. I'm going to have to try that EAS/ Carb Countdown. Sounds yummy.
I wish you continued success!!

Topic: UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
K so as most know I am havin all kinds of pain from my DDD boobs so i went to the Doc and bc i am having severe pain in my back and shoulders and my bras litterally cut my shoulders with in the next 30 days i get to have a breast reduction. He also put in for my TT but the only rule to that is is that i have to 1 yr out prior to havin surgery... i am soooo floatin on cloud nine.
As for my daily meds i have changed those. For the last month i couldnt stomach tumes anymore, and i really havent takin any since about a wk ago, so i found Spring Valleys Calium Citrate with Vitamin D at walmart for like 6 bucks for 200 of them. And since i started takin them i have lost more weight ... i have been on a plateau forever it seems and who woulda known that if you didnt get ur calcium in that you would stall???? So really takin those meds are really important. Welp i must go for now everyone have a wonderful day...

Topic: New Weight Loss Strategy
OK, enough of this messin' around. Not that I'm complaining about my weight loss because I'm very happy about it, but since I got down to a size 14 I've been losing very slowly mostly because I've been popping stuff in my mouth that I shouldn't and 99 percent of these occurrences are either late afternoon or after dinner. So-o-o my new strategy is to have a protein drink in the afternoon (I adore the EAS AdvantEdge fruit flavors with 8 oz. of Carb Countdown red grapefruit juice. Only 85 calories total, 15g of protein, and 3 carbs total with the juice added. All that's missing is vodka, haha, and if it's a bad day I may add it one of these days!) AND, my big big change is that from now on I am absolutely not going to eat ANYTHING after 8 pm. NOTHING! I've told the rest of my family so they will help keep me honest. Yesterday was the first day, I stayed up late doing some spring cleaning and I really wanted to eat but I didn't. It felt good. I really think this will make a big difference for me. Century Club here I come, get me card ready!!! Hugs, Sandy

Topic: RE: Monday Roundup!
Hi Sandy and everyone
Monday's my official weigh day on my parent's doctor scale and let me tell you I was SOOOO scared to weigh today! My weight's been up a few at home (prob due water retention, aunt flo is in town) but even knowing this, i didn't want to end my losing streak, I've always lost SOMETHING every monday since my surgery... and today I lost 1/4 of a lb!!! YAY!!!!! I'll take it with gratitude!
Overall I'm down 75.5 lbs from surgery day.
21 lbs to normal bmi!
fave food this week- made some steamed zucchini with lemon and olive oil
Exercise last week- 4 days at the gym
wow moment- tryed on swimsuits today at target and it didn't suck!!
biggest challenge- I would REALLY REALLY like to get my calories down this week. Must stop popping in a bite of this or that! It adds up!!
I go see my pcp on wednesday for first time since surgery (he's the one who convinced me to go for wls) so I'm excited about that but also wondering what he's going to say about the thyroid stuff and all the plastics my surgeon recommends.
Have a wonderful week guys!
Love ya,
Sue
