I couldn't do 60 seconds and now I can do at least 2 minutes then i do 2 min walking then one min running then back to that and then i do that for 15 minutes and then i powerwalk for the rest of the hour. It definately feels great. I'm 3 lbs from leaving 200 so I can't wait!!! And I'm then 20 lbs from the century mark - I will get there! Congratulations to YOU!!

Yesterday my daughters and I went shopping for the day at the Roosevelt Field Mall and guess what??? My girls and I all shipped in NY and Company for clothes, imagine, me shopping in the same store as my 19 and 22 year old daughters----> the FIRST TIME FOR ME !!!
I purchased all my summer clothes with stylish fashion. I can't believe how easy it was for me this time. Tops, capri's, lacey camisoles I can't wait to wear them! I was like a kid in a toy store! I also bought MEDIUM sized leggins and capri's, and if I do say so myself I finally look SKINNY! My sister-in-law stopped over today and told me how skinny I look, up until now she really has not commented on my progress--it made me feel so good! Now I just have to get some shorts. As I write this I have taken a break from bagging up all my winter shirts to give to a girl at work. In the back of my mind as I bag everything up, I can't help but think is this smaller life style really for keeps??? I truly hope so!

Topic: RE: My poor aching back!
I had extensive back surgery in November of 2003. I was feeling much better and then I lost weight...NIGHTMARE! My back now kills me. The reason our backs are hurting is that our abdominal muscles are week. Prevention magazine this month has some of the exercises in it that I have been doing in therapy to help my muscle groups. If you can not find the magazine, I will be glad to mail you a copy of the exercises. They have really helped me and there is nothing worse than back pain. Let me know if you would like a copy mailed to you and I will do it ASAP. Also, I take Soma 350 mg and it works WONDERS for the back pain. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

my back starting hurting in December. I went to my PCP in January and he prescribed pain pills, muscle relaxer. It did not relieve my pain. I went back in February and the FNP gave me stronger pain pills and ordered XRay. I have read online through the library that back pain is common as our weight adjusts. The XRay came back normal and my FNP sent me for physical therapy. They told me that my Lumbar/Thorasic spine was weak from my weight loss. I am using different muscles than I was when I was heavier. So, my back was not used to the new me. I had 8 sessions and have learned new exercises to strengthen my back and my abdominal muscles. Who knew? I am not giving any medical advice but only saying what has helped me. I still have to remember to keep my back straight like connect the dots. I hope you find relief for your back pain.

Topic: RE: Just an update!
Glad to hear of your good progress. I hope that you get to identify the reasons you are dizzy and tired. So, if he wants you to continue for the rest of your life, I'm just curious, did he say that your body will automatically adjust to the lower calorie intake and will regain strength so you're not tired?
Thanks,
Trudi

I am so sorry to hear about your back. I must admit that I have had some pains, but I think what you are experience seems much worse. Do you do many back strengthening exercises? After I started exercising and including a bit of lower body exercising (conditioning), that seemed to help.
Of course, when your back hurts, the last thing you want to hear is exercise it. But, I just wanted to let you know that for me, all the stretching helped.
I hope you get to feeling better,
Love, Trudi
Topic: Great News this week!
I'm so sorry I haven't gotten to post lately. I've been training a new guy at work.
This has been an awesome week for me. For the past month, I have been on a major stall. End of last week I started losing again, and it's just continued this week.
On Tuesday, I made the century club. Yipeeeee!!
On Thursday, I made the "normal" BMI weight club (wait, is that a club? - LOL)
These were only like 1 pound apart, so I knew that this would happen around the same time. I mean, it's so hard after being 266 for so long ... to believe that I am actually a normal weight now.
Oh, and just to update my progress as I absolutely LOVE what our exercise challenge has done for me. Prior to joining the exercise challenge I never exercised (Sorry, I have done pitifully on reporting but excellent as far as actually doing the exercise.) I have exercised 6 days this week. I have even gotten to where I can jog for 10 minutes. Jogging has been a personal goal of mine. So, I'm excited about even 10 minutes.
Thank you so much for taking time to join me in celebrating my successes.
Love you all!!!!
Trudi

Leslie - Sorry sweetie that you are having such awful back pain. Does Tylenol help at all? How about Tylenol PM? That stuff knocks me out. Everything seems worse when you're tired. Hope you get some relief soon.
